This handsome village pub looks much the same as it would have when it was built from mellow Cotswold stone some 400 years ago. If you are a fan of traditional pubs with open fires, good old furniture, bookcases and rugs, and if you like cask ales, a decent wine list and simple food made from fresh ingredients cooked in the pub, then we think the Greyhound will tick all your boxes.

✨ Team spotlight! - Jose Maria Leon Valenzuela Gabuya, (Maui)✨
Our Sous Chef Maui, is always smiling and brings great energy to the kitchen, along with some great tunes 🎶
Before joining us, Maui was a well known Chef & Culinary Consultant in the Philippines, bringing a wealth of experience with all things food!
When Maui isn't creating in the kitchen, he likes to spend time with his two loves....the first being his wife Fiona, and the second, his beloved car, cleaning & polishing it till it sparkles! 🚗
He and Fiona are about to renovate a house, hopefully he'll get to relax after a hard day's graft with his favourite tipple, a whisky🥃

If you've been around a while, you'll know Shell! 🙂
She's been with us for nearly 10 years, but her ancestral link dates back to the 1800's here when the building was a coaching inn, and Whites of Appleton, the bell hangers was formed 🔔
Shell is a valued member of the front of house team, always willing to lend a hand and also help to keep the pub sparkling clean 🌟
When she's not here, Shell enjoys spending time with her partner Dean and three children, and sipping on a nice cold rose wine❤️🍷

A reminder it's our Charity Dog Walk tomorrow, September 5th 🐾
Meet at 9.30am for complimentary bacon rolls and hot drinks, aiming to leave at 10am for a circular countryside stroll.
We'll arrive back at the pub around 11.30am for a well earned drink or maybe a spot of lunch🍴
All welcome, with or without a dog, and we continue to support Greyhound Trust.
