The Vale of Rheidol Railway is a historic narrow-gauge steam railway nestled in the stunning scenery of Mid Wales. Alongside our renowned railway journeys, our café is an integral part of our customer experience. We're looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities: ☕
Assist with the day-to-day operation of our trackside café, including the preparation of fresh food, serving customers, making coffees, restocking, clearing tables and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Ensure café compliance with food hygiene regulations.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring visitors have a memorable and pleasant experience.
Handle cash, card payments, and transactions accurately.

Customer-focused: A friendly and approachable demeanour with strong communication skills.
Organised and reliable: Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.
Team player: Willing to support colleagues across different areas of the business.
Flexible: Open to working weekends and public holidays as required.
Driving Licence: Able to provide own transport for working at either Aberystwyth or Devil’s Bridge station as required.
