Pete Waterman and the Making Tracks Team are here until 9th August with another superb example of model railway engineering.

Whilst it's not a record breaking layout this time, his 72 ft recreation of Watford junction is still pretty impressive, with every platform, signal and locomotive hand crafted with remarkable precision. 🚂

Come and see this bustling station scene come vividly to life in our Engine Shed Museum between 25th July and 9th August.

Drive the trains, and have fun with a beach themed treasure treasure hunt, spotting tiny beach balls and deckchairs among the layout. 🏖️

With tickets just £5 for children or £8 for adults we think it's a bargain and there's plenty to do inside for visitors young and old including children's crafts, a treasure hunt and the chance to drive the model trains! 🚂

We've added something a little bit special to our menu at Caffi Cledrau.

We are proud to support local produce, so we have teamed up with Welsh Homestead Smokery to create freshly prepared baguettes using their delicious smoked jams. Choose from a bacon, cheese and tomato with smoked bacon jam, or a crisp chicken salad with lemon drop chilli jam.

Pop in next time you are at the station and try one for yourself.

Important service update from Vale of Rheidol Railway 🚂

⚠️SERVICE UPDATE 🚨

Due to the rising fire risk caused by hot, dry weather we have revised our service in the interests of safety for the remainder of this week.

The planned yellow timetable services at 15:30 are now CANCELLED.
The 10:30, 12:00 and 14:00 departures from Aberystwyth will continue to operate.

There will also be a change to the loco roster as follows:
Tuesday 7th July: No. 7 'Owain Glyndwr' 10:30 and 14:00, No. 8 'Llywelyn' 12:00
Wednesday 8th to Sunday 12th July: No. 9 'Prince of Wales' 10:30 and 14:00
Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th: Diesel No.10 12:00

**UPDATE** no hot food will continue today, Friday 26th June as our appliances (and team!) are still struggling in the heat. 🌡

Normal service should resume from Saturday.

IMPORTANT NOTICE 🌡

Due to extremely high temperatures forecast for the coming days we unfortunately will not be offering any hot food from Tuesday 23rd to Friday 26th June, to protect the welfare of our team.

We have plenty of sandwiches, snacks, cold drinks and ice creams to enjoy. 🍦
