Five years running in the CAMRA Good B**r Guide 🍺

We’re very pleased to once again be included in the 2027 Good B**r Guide, making this our fifth consecutive year in the guide under the current licensee.

For a small, traditional, wet-led pub with no food, no gimmicks — just good b**r and a proper pub, it means a lot to be recognised year after year.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports us, drinks with us and helps keep traditional pubs like ours going.

🍺🍺 Support your local 🍺 🍺

I’ve seen a few of these illustrations recently showing where the money from a pint actually goes, so I thought I’d share one of our own.

The Station is proud to remain one of Abergavenny’s last traditional ale pubs, focused on wet sales. No food, no gimmicks, just a proper pub.

The reality is that once VAT, duty, wages, utilities, insurance, cleaning and all the other costs are paid, there can be very little left from that £5 pint.

Sometimes just pennies.

And one unexpected repair or major bill can wipe out months of profit, or even years.

Unfortunately, with traditional pubs, the old saying really is becoming true:

Use it or lose it !

So if you value having proper local pubs in the town, support them when you can.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone. 🍻

🌞 It’s definitely pub weather! 🍻

Our b**r garden feels more like 500°C today! 😅 So if the sunshine is a bit too much, why not cool off inside our air-conditioned pub with a refreshing drink?

It’s that time of year Already !! 33c in May.

We’re back open!

It’s been a soft reopening so far with no advertising while we get everything back up and running smoothly. There have been a few little bumps along the way (including myself with the odd ache and pain!), but we’re getting there.

Our normal opening hours are now:

Monday’s – Closed
Tuesday to Saturday – 4:00pm to 11:00pm
Sunday – 3:00pm to 10:00pm

Please be advised that from Monday, 19th January 2026, we will be closed every Monday.

After operating seven days a week for the past five years, we have taken the decision to introduce a weekly rest day. All other opening hours remain unchanged.
