Gladys is back!
Some coffees become part of the rhythm of the roasting calendar, and Gladys Erazo’s coffee is one of them.
This year marks the fifth consecutive year we’ve sourced coffee from Gladys, and it’s a relationship we’re incredibly proud of.
A few years ago, we had the chance to visit her farm in the lush hills of southern Ecuador. Walking among flowering coffee trees, native forest and fruit trees gave us a deeper appreciation for the care that goes into every harvest. Gladys welcomed us into her home, shared fresh papaya from the farm and honey she produces herself, and reminded us that great coffee is always about people first.
What keeps bringing us back year after year is consistency. Gladys’ coffees always stand out for their balance, elegance and sense of place.
This year’s harvest is no exception. Expect juicy plum, sweet grape notes and the richness of 85% dark chocolate, all lifted by delicate hibiscus florals. It’s a coffee with depth and complexity, yet remains wonderfully comforting and easy to enjoy.
We’re grateful to Gladys for another fantastic harvest and to Andre and the team at Makicuna for helping make this long-standing relationship possible.
Available now online and in our cafés.
