As we come to the end of this incredible chapter at the Gilcomston Bar, we just want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to every single one of our amazing customers.

From the very beginning, you've supported us through the highs and the challenges. You've laughed with us, celebrated with us, and filled our bar with memories that we will cherish forever. Without your loyalty, friendship, and continued support, none of this would have been possible.

The Gilcomston Bar has never just been a pub—it has been a place where friendships were made, stories were shared, and memories were created. Every pint poured, every meal served, every bingo game, karaoke night, live act, and Sunday Funday was made special because of every one of you who chose to spend your time with us.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and making us feel like part of your lives. You have all become much more than customers—you've become friends and part of our extended family.

While it's sad to close this chapter, we're incredibly excited for what lies ahead. We can't wait to welcome you all through the doors of our new venue, where we'll create even more unforgettable memories together. And don't worry... we'll be throwing one massive opening party that you won't want to miss!

Thank you for every laugh, every kind word, every recommendation, and every bit of support you've shown us over the last 14 months. We'll never forget it.

It would be a real shame to see this venue end up closing.

Unlike Rod Stewart, our farewell won’t be repeated over and over again… but one message never changes:

Like many independent businesses, we’re finding it incredibly difficult to remain open seven days a week while continuing to support our amazing team.

There’s only so much we can increase prices. We’ve always tried to keep things as affordable as possible, but the reality is that our costs have risen dramatically, interest rates remain high, and we’re still paying back loans taken out during the pandemic.

We’re a small, independent business that has proudly been part of the community since 2010. We’d love nothing more than to be here welcoming you through our doors for many more years to come—but that only happens with your support.

If you can, come along to our next live performance, pop in for a coffee, or even grab a bottle of water before you head home. Every single purchase, no matter how small, helps us keep the lights on.
