We are sad and sorry to report that at the end of this month we will be closing down our Blackburn shop, with the final day of trading being Sunday 29/03/2026.

Mugiemoss will be all business as normal. With the intention of bringing everything that is great about Blackburn to it in due course.

Liam hasn't taken this decision lightly as he feels there is still a great opportunity for someone to get the benefit of our ready to walk in and fully fitted out unit, but for right now it's not to be us due to the struggle of managing the two busy shops and navigating his own busy life.

If the system the Scottish government had with business rates and the system the UK government with Vat was more achievable then yes we could and would hire personel to ease the work load but they are making it increasingly difficult to hire due to their lack of support for all hospitality.

The unit itself is now up for Sub Lease on F.G. Burnett website and all enquiries can be made through them for viewings.

Ofcourse if we have no tenant down the line and the UK government and Scottish government do decide to offer relief in the appropriate areas for hospitality then with the unit being ours we would re-open and go again.

Thank you to the great people of Blackburn and neighbouring villages and towns for your love and support for the past 4 years. We greatly appreciate it.
