Tribeca Part 2 : Second screening June 13, 2026 🕺🏻🍪,❤️🕺🏻

We had our second screening of cookieloveshort for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City and our after party coincided with the Knicks in Five win 🏀. It was a busy night !

1) Arriving at the screening with my Boo Philippe Carrant
2) So happy that my brother Frank Hwang flew from the Little Apple, Manhattan, Kansas to the Big Apple, Manhattan, New York to see me and the film 🍎. We hadn’t seen each other since 2023 !
3) The shorts program, Whatever It Takes, where we opened followed by 5 other films featuring amazing, inspiring women !
4) Eric Schnall, author of the award winning book, I Make Envy on Your Disco, came with hubby Shack. They were in Paris last year in August and I opened the shop just for them !
5) Tony FELLOW ORTHODONTIST | Dr. Tony and sons Brody and Adrien eating crazy popcorn before the show
6) Q&A after the screenings with only two films onstage : us and White Belt with mannequin Jac Monika Jagaciak Jankic and her husband producer. Lots of Q&A time for the 4 of us !

NYC Part 3 : On TV at NBC NY LIVE on June 12, 2026 🤩🍪❤️ !!

Me and Sari sari arambulo were thrilled to be invited for Cookie, Love cookieloveshort to the NBC headquarters at Rockefeller Center to talk about our film Tribeca Film Festival, my cookbook and demonstrate how I wabi-sabi each cookie to beauty !

Our families were invited to watch and the whole experience was incredibly chill and relaxed thanks to the NBC staff who made us feel warmly welcomed and at ease.

I even created a special cookie for the event : a hojicha dark and white chocolate chip 🍪😋

New York adventures : Win Son pop up Win Son Bakery June 9-10, 2026
🇹🇼🇺🇸💯👩🏻‍🍳🍪❤️

Between the two screenings of cookieloveshort at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC, we had a 2 day pop up at the Taiwanese-American bakery and restaurant Win Son and it was a BLAST !!

Thank you Trigg Brown Josh and the amazing Win Son team for hosting, welcoming us and opening your giant kitchen for me to bake !

We sold out in 20 minutes the first day and 45 minutes the second day (only because we limited 1 cookie/client !) it was 🔥🔥🔥!! Thank you to all the people who came to our pop up : friends, friends of friends, family, people who saw the film, Win Son lovers, clients from Paris… 🙏🏼🍪🥰. We had such a fun time meeting you all !!

Guys, there’re too many photos, I’ve gotta split up my 12 day New York Trip !

There are so many people I appreciate and am thankful for this incredible experience, only 18 short docs were chosen, our Cookie, Love, selected from 9000 submitted. The stars truly aligned to make this happen ! Thank you Sari for creating this mini documentary about my cookie world, my love Philippe and my life ! And thank you to the amazing individuals on our team who helped to bring this portrait of me to light ! I love you all ❤️!

🍪❤️Cookie Love 11 years party is over 🥳🥳🥳 !!
THANK YOU clients (and many of you clients have become friends 😉) for your cookie love 💗 and support !

I’m not sure I’ll be able to do this party again… It was an immense effort and I was drained emotionally and physically as I was working with a painful knee with almost no more cartilage (cortisone shot last Wednesday).

Since 2020 Covid I have been working solo: baking and decorating each cookie fresh in the morning, selling to you lovely clients, washing all the dishes by hand, preparing the 20+ cookie doughs in my tiny kitchen, prepping for the next day and cleaning the shop after closing. Shout out to my stagiares/interns whose help I truly appreciated from time to time 🙏🏼💗!

I’ve always strived for perfection in the Japanese sense of shokunin and love making my cookies as an art. It makes me excited to come to work every morning even after 11 years !!
And you, my clients 🫶🏼, are also why I love my work ! YOU ARE THE BEST !!
