A HUGE thank you to all the Quizicists who joined us for what was (hopefully not) The Last Quiz 🧡

And an enormous shout out to Nick & Marley, the ultimate hosts with the absolute most! Writing a new quiz every single week isn’t easy. Trying to keep everyone happy with the questions? Pretty much impossible. Yet somehow they turn up every week armed with trivia, terrible puns, questionable pronunciations, and an unhealthy amount of Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve & Talent 💅🏁

Whether you came for the quiz, the banter, the beers, or just to loudly argue that your answer should have counted (it shouldn’t 😉), thank you for making Quiz Night what it is.

For now, all we can say is keep an eye on our socials for updates. We’re not saying this is goodbye, but we’re not not saying it either 👀

One last time.

This Tuesday 30 June, we raise a glass to the end of an incredible chapter at The Auld Alliance.

Join us from 19:00 until late for The Last Alliance, a final night of great whisky, great music, great company, and memories with the people who have made this place so special over the years.

Whether you’ve been coming for years or it’s been a while since your last visit, we’d love to see you. Let’s give Fred & Anique the send-off they deserve

Cocktail of the Week: Article Orange 🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

White rum. Fresh orange. Lime. Aperol. Bitters.
Bright, loud, slightly unhinged and held together by increasingly fragile institutions.

Sweet at first. Bitter by the end.
A little like scrolling the news at 2am.

White rum, cranberry, lime, bitters: clean on paper, questionable in practice.

Fully untraceable. Mildly corrupt. Surprisingly effective.

Cocktail of the Week: Collateral Damage Control 🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We tried to keep this one light.

Then it developed complications.

White rum, pineapple, lime. All very peaceful, until a late-stage intervention of vermouth and bitters that absolutely insisted on getting involved.

Now it’s layered, unpredictable, and escalating far beyond it’s original brief.

There were plans. There were intentions. There were briefings.

And yet here we are.

One minute it’s a refreshing tropical number, the next you’re making decisions you can’t fully justify and calling it “stability”.
