✅Beyond the Basics: Exploring Hematological Parameters for Monitoring Dengue Infection

This workshop is designed to enhance the clinical skills of healthcare professionals in diagnosing and managing dengue infection, with a focus on maximizing the value of the complete blood count (CBC). Based on a case study of secondary dengue infection, the workshop goes beyond conventional CBC parameters to explore the clinical utility of extended white blood cell differentials and inflammatory index markers.

Participants will learn to interpret key parameters such as the Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (PLR), Monocyte-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (MLR), and immature cell populations (like atypical lymphocytes and immature granulocytes). The workshop will cover how these cost-effective and repeatable markers can serve as early indicators of disease progression, help predict severity, and guide clinical decision-making in resource-limited settings.
