Le Logis, Le Breuillac is home to the Mad Hatter’s Kitchen, situated on the outskirts of Caunay, a sleepy hamlet tucked away in the French countryside.

In the restaurant we like to use fresh ingredients, many of them grown in our own kitchen garden, and free range organic eggs. With an emphasis on spontaneity and seasonal produce, our menus change all the time. In the Summer, why not relax on the terrace with an apertif before dinner, or enjoy a light lunch or afternoon tea? We hold regular events including Mediterranean feasts, curry nights, ste

ak evenings and special fish nights as well as marking the usual events such a Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. One of our popular events are our music and bistro evenings, which are often held in the garden during warm weather. One of our main music events is our 2 day summer music festival which is held in August. Do keep an eye on the main page to find out what’s coming up! Mad Hatter’s is open all year for lunch special plat du jour 3 courses with wine 12.50, evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays and for lunch on Sundays. Sundays at Mad Hatters are not just about our famous home-cooked Sunday lunches although we are very proud of them.

Join us for a proper traditional Sunday lunch with beautifully cooked seasonal vegetables, a choice of lamb or beef, rich gravy and our homemade Yorkshire puddings.

But if Sunday morning runs away with you and you cannot make lunch, don’t worry from 3pm onwards, Hatters Bar keeps the weekend going with a delicious range of bar snacks, including our now highly popular mixed planches and our mighty supersized Ploughman’s.

Perfect for sharing, perfect with a cold beer, a glass of wine or something stronger, and perfect for squeezing every last drop out of the weekend.

Mexican Night Tonight at Mad Hatters Kitchen & Hatters Bar! 🌶️🍻🍹

Tonight is the night to spice up your Thursday and join us for one last little summer evening before September starts creeping in.

Mad Hatters Kitchen will be serving up some Mexican-inspired favourites, with plenty of choice on the menu, including a few tempting specials:

Loaded Chilli Beef Burrito
Chilli con carne, seasoned rice and melted cheese wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla, served with golden fries, dressed salad, salsa and sour cream.

Smoky Chicken Fajita Wrap
Tender spiced chicken with peppers and onions, seasoned with smoky paprika, cumin, garlic and a touch of chilli, wrapped in a soft flour tortilla and served with golden fries, dressed salad and cooling sour cream.

Or maybe you fancy something a little different…

Chimichurri Sirloin Steak
Tender sirloin steak seasoned with a fragrant chimichurri-style blend of herbs, garlic, oregano and a touch of chilli, grilled to your liking and served with sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomato, golden fries and a fresh dressed green salad.

And of course, Hatters Bar will have plenty of chilled Coronas with lime, along with our already much-loved Hatters Bar Tequila Sunrise, which has been a proper summer favourite.

Spice up your Thursday at Mad Hatters Kitchen! 🌶️🍹

Before September comes knocking, we thought we would squeeze in one last little taste of summer with a Mexican Food Night this Thursday 27th August.

We’ll be serving up some Mexican favourites, including chicken fajitas, chilli con carne, burritos and tacos, alongside a few more traditional Mad Hatters Kitchen dishes for those who prefer to keep things a little less adventurous.

And of course, it would not be a summer Mexican night without plenty of chilled Coronas with lime, plus our already much-loved Hatters Bar Tequila Sunrise, which has been a real hit this summer.

We’ll be honest with the terraces busy, we might struggle to get too many more meals out tonight, but the good news is Mad Hatters Kitchen is still open and the drinks will be flowing until late.

Hatters Bar & Mad Hatters Kitchen — Tonight 🍻🍽️

A little reminder to all our friends and hopefully some soon to be friends too, that Hatters Bar is open from 6pm this evening for drinks and Mad Hatters Kitchen restaurant opens from 7pm.

Come and join us for a cold beer, a glass of wine, a cocktail, a spirit, or simply a relaxed drink on the terrace before dinner.

On the menu tonight, our chicken kebabs have been going down brilliantly this week, and we also have a new addition: specially selected Toulouse sausage, served with chips and two of our own Mad Hatters golden-yolked free-range eggs.

Simple, proper, tasty food, served with a warm welcome.

🐟🍟 FRIDAY NIGHT IS FISH & CHIP NIGHT AT MAD HATTERS KITCHEN!

Charlotte’s freshly prepared, hand-battered fish & chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce is back on the menu tonight — crisp, golden and exactly the sort of Friday-night comfort food you want.

But if fish & chips isn’t your thing, don’t worry — there’s plenty more to choose from tonight.

From sirloin steak and pan-fried salmon to chicken kebab wraps, tender belly pork, lamb curry, Cod Calabrese and Toulouse sausage with double egg, chips and peas, there’s something for just about everyone.

And of course, there are plenty of tempting starters and homemade desserts to finish things off too.
