It’s with immense sadness that we announce that Le Bus Vert has reached it final stop and we will soon be closing its doors for the final time. As a result of the ongoing crisis of Covid-19, we have not been able to run our beloved workshops or make further progress with our business during the pandemic, and so we have had to make the difficult decision to change direction.
It has been a wonderful adventure, full of so much creativity, fun and laughter, and we will take incredible memories with us. We have taught kids and adults to sew; celebrated birthdays; reclaimed and reused huge amounts of unwanted art materials and fabric destined for the dump; collected and upcycled beach waste polluting our beaches and ocean; run workshops at local schools and festivals; held webinars; been used for a music video and even contributed eco recipes to a book. It’s been quite the ride.
We are absolutely indebted to every one of you for your support in a myriad of ways. From supporting our crowdfunding campaign, to helping us convert the bus, donating materials and attending workshops. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing our vision and helping us, in some small way, to reduce our impact on this beautiful planet whilst teaching and promoting creativity.
And, whilst the bus will no longer be hosting workshops, we have plans afoot to carry on with our mission in another form, very soon. So, watch this space!
In the meantime, we would like our materials to be rehomed and reused. So, please get in touch if you would be interested in fabric or craft supplies!
