I’ve just published something a little different on Dordogne Travel Guide.
I recently spoke with Yohann, the chef behind YP Chef • Chef privé en Dordogne, who grew up in Sarlat and has spent more than 20 years working in professional kitchens.
He now cooks for guests staying in villas and châteaux across the Dordogne. I wanted to share a bit more about how he works, the kind of food he cooks and why longer stays suit what he does so well.

Private Chef in Pyla-sur-Mer 🇫🇷

What a week at the beautiful Villa La Perla.

Seven days cooking for 15 wonderful guests in an incredible setting, right on the waterfront overlooking the Bassin d’Arcachon.

A beautiful house, an amazing atmosphere, and one of those weeks that reminds me why I love what I do.

A huge thank you to my guests for their trust, their kindness and all the great moments we shared around the table.

And a special thank you to Villa La Perla for welcoming me into such an exceptional place. It was an absolute pleasure cooking here, and hopefully not the last time.
