One of the things I love about living in this part of France is the abundance of beautiful rivers and lakes to visit. There is just something so perfect about swimming in natural water, and we regularly go for a day or afternoon out at the 'beach'
But generally, one of the things I struggle with now I am trying to live a cleaner lifestyle, is the snack options for the kids and I. I know I could prep something healthy to take, but that requires planning in advance, and there is something nice about getting an icecream on a hot day.
So, yesterday when we decided to have a look to Plage bac de sors I was chuffed to bits to finally try one of the 'beach bars' La Bulle Verte - Bac de Sors and discover that they sell bio drinks and snacks, so we could treat ourselves guilt free. They even sell vegan ice lollies by Banana Square made with all organic ingredients. I'm not vegan, but I was intrigued. The violette flavour was lush and definitely did not disappoint. Its possible to have a vegan savoury crêpe too. All in a cool quirky setting. They have regular music events, and do yoga on a Tuesday morning too, although its a bit too far and too early for me to give that a try at the moment.
Plage bac de sors was surprisingly not too busy, even though its peak summer season, although it was mid week. The water was warm, and with the added bonus of this bio snack bar, definitely near the top of my list of places to visit when I am craving some wildswimming.
