Lomani is set on two beautiful acres and is fenced and gated to ensure privacy and security. Taveuni being the ‘Garden Island’ is the perfect place to create a dream garden. The property offers a range of fruit for you to pick and enjoy for breakfast or as a healthy treat during the day. Subject to the season, there are a choice of oranges, limes, paw paw, pineapple, banana, avocado, mango, noni (
medicine fruit) and pear fruit. There are also a range of beautiful South Pacific fragrant and flowering plants on the property including hibiscus and frangipani. A romantic two person love swing is also in the garden for you to rest on alone or together overlooking the water below. Some local recipes books are provided should you choose to test your culinary skills with the home grown produce or seafood snared from the sea below. In addition, there are some cocktail recipes provided should you choose to enjoy the beautiful sunsets with a cocktail made with home grown produce. The entire two acres is yours to enjoy and roam about in privacy. Lomani is a very romantic private beachfront cottage offering one bedroom with a four poster king size bed (covered by a mosquito net). Leading from the bedroom is a bathroom, toilet and romantic outdoor double headed stone shower. The bedroom also leads on to a living area with all modern conveniences, ie TV, DVD, stereo and a range of games, books, DVD movies and music. Both the bedroom and living area lead onto a spacious deck which extends along the front of the cottage and offers magnificent views out across the Somosomo Straits which separate Taveuni from Vanua Levu. The large kitchen provides views over the Somosomo Straits from every window and opens up onto the deck overlooking the infinity edge pool. The kitchen has a dining area and is fully equipped with all cooking and eating utensils including rice cooker, wok, blender, fruit juice maker and BBQ on the deck. The bedroom, kitchen and living room all have ceiling fans and multiple louvred windows and louvred doors all of which have fly wire cover. The cottage is furnished in traditional locally made Fijian furniture. The swimming pool is 3 x 4 mts and is at the corner of the deck with infinity edges overlooking the water to the west and south of Taveuni. All linen and towels are provided. There is a second bathroom at the rear of the kitchen which also has a washing machine for your use during your stay. There is also a outdoor pergolah area at the rear of the living room. The cottage is environmentally friendly. All power used at Lomani, including the pool, is generated by the Fijian sun through our solar system (with a generator back up in the event of emergency). Fresh water is provided from a nearby artesian spring and is suitable for drinking.
