Our Top 5 Tips for Nadi Nightlife!
There is a particular kind of Friday night in Nadi.
The working week is over. Travellers are ready for an adventure. Locals are ready to let loose. The music gets louder, the streets get busier and Martintar starts doing what Martintar does best: bringing good food, good people, bars, laughter and a little mischief together in one lively corner of Fiji.
TOP 5
1. Start somewhere you can actually hear your friends
Small Plates Garden Restaurant is almost comically suited to the start of your evening
Tucked behind greenery and bamboo on Queens Road, the garden feels wonderfully removed from the buzz of Martintar while being right in the middle of it. Covered and uncovered outdoor seating, a rainforest feel and plates made for sharing give it that slightly magical “how did we not know about this place?” feeling.
The crispy wontons and sizzling plates have their own following too.
Start the night somewhere worth remembering!
Pro tip: From there you can continue the cocktails over the road at the new Wildfire Fiji balcony to watch the sunset, or head straight to the The Beach Club Wailoaloa around the corner.
2. Tell one person where you're going
Because later you’ll be busy having a great night.
For example send someone a quick message: “We're at Small Plates in Martintar, if not here we will be at Hive bar.”
If the evening takes you somewhere else, let them know! Tagging in Stories and posts are also great!
Pro-tip: turn on your phone tracker, loose pockets in taxis plus alcohol equals lost phones.
3. Have your ride home sorted before the cocktails
This is one of those brilliant little decisions you make while you're still thinking clearly.
Our staff are happy to help organise trusted drivers and cab companies, so you can enjoy the evening without negotiating your way home at the end of it.
And if you're looking for somewhere to go next, ask us. We know the bars, nightclubs, entertainment and plenty of the good food around Martintar.
Pro tip: Everything close at 1pm, by law. Set up a well-lit public pickup point with your driver before you remember to forget.
4. Look after your three most valuable possessions:
Your drink. Your phone. Your peoples.
Keep an eye on all three.
Nadi is a fantastic place to go out, but like anywhere with busy nightlife and plenty of visitors, a little awareness goes a long way. Keep your belongings close, stay together and don't let a great night turn into an unnecessary misadventure.
5. Finish the night with the people you started it with
The best nights are rarely about the venue you went to.
They're about the people, the stories, the ridiculous moments and the conversations next day. 🤭
And if your evening begins in a little garden hidden along Queens Road, with crispy wontons arriving at the table and your mates already knowing where you are...
Well, that's a pretty good start to the weekend
Stay safe out there!
