An entrepreneur since 2001 ❤️
My journey as an entrepreneur began in 2001 with a small village bar. I sold it in 2005 and spent five years working for someone else – until, in 2010, it was time to become an entrepreneur again.
I started as a franchise entrepreneur with Kotirinki, employing several cleaning professionals from both Finnish and international backgrounds.
In 2017, life took me to Saariselkä, where I bought the business of Muossi Grill. A year ago, the journey continued when I expanded by purchasing Lauran Grilli.
Today, I employ 9 permanent employees from different parts of the world – and our customers are just as international. ❤️🌍
Entrepreneurship certainly isn’t always easy. There is constant responsibility, stress and worry: Are my employees doing well? Are they happy at work? Will the money be enough? And what problem needs solving next?
Sometimes the phone rings in the middle of the night. One moment I’m the CEO, the next I’m working at the grill, fixing a pipe, doing renovations, repairing something or simply figuring out how to solve the latest unexpected problem. 😅
Some days are frustrating. Then you roll up your sleeves and keep going.
Most of all, I’m grateful for my employees. Without them, none of this would be possible. ❤️ And I’m grateful for our customers – without you, we wouldn’t have jobs or a successful business.
A big thank you also to my fellow entrepreneurs and entrepreneur friends. It’s important to have people who understand and with whom you can share both the good days and the difficult ones.
Despite all the challenges, the freedom of being an entrepreneur makes it all worthwhile.
And I honestly can’t imagine going back to working for someone else. 😊
