How did we only just find this? 😅

We just discovered that Helsingin Uutiset visited Tinku and wrote about their experience with us earlier this year.

Reading Tinku through someone else’s eyes was such a lovely surprise. From the food and our tiradito to the atmosphere, music and the feeling of the restaurant.

One sentence especially stayed with us:

“Tinku onnistuu hyvin tuomaan oikeita makuja Perusta ja muualta latinalaisesta Amerikasta.”

And that feels very close to what Tinku is about: bringing together flavors, cultures, music and people from across Latin America, right here in Helsinki. 🌿

Acompañamos la inauguración de la exposición pictórica “Un nativo del cosmos” que presenta la artista mexicana residente en Finlandia, Joanna Amanda Johansson, en el restaurante de comida latinoamericana Tinku en Helsinki.

La muestra reúne obras inspiradas en los saberes ancestrales y la cosmología de pueblos indígenas de diversas partes del mundo.

Felicitamos a la artista y agradecemos a Tinku por abrir sus puertas al arte mexicano en Finlandia, especialmente durante septiembre, mes patrio mexicano.

We participated in the opening of the art exhibition “A Native of the Cosmos,” presented by Mexican artist based in Finland, Joanna Amanda Johansson, at Tinku, a Latin American restaurant in Helsinki.

The exhibition features works inspired by the ancestral knowledge and cosmology of indigenous peoples from around the world.

We congratulate the artist and thank Tinku for opening its doors to Mexican art in Finland during September, when Mexico Will celebrate its 216th anniversary of Independence.
