Meanwhile in Abruzzo we are following the Extra Virgin Olive Oil production! We are in Rosciano at Ranieri mill.
We always want to be sure you will get a truly genuine product! Only the best from the mill directly to Finland without any stop.
As you can see the mill is working day and night to be as fast as possible in pressing the olives to obtain a real premium EVO with an acidity under the 0,2%!
To be short and clear:
the olive oil business is one the of most falsified in the world and one of the most profitable for the crooks. It's as profitable as illegal drugs market but with almost no risk compared to it!
Sad to say that about half of the EVO brands in the supermarkets are not really Extra Virgin. In the luckiest situation some of them are just olive oils with an acidity over 0,8%, so not Extra Virgin.
But worse is when the origin of the olives, or the oil, is not what is mentioned on the label.
Or the worst scenario is when the product itself is a seeds oil with the addition of betacarotene and chlorophyll to make it look like a good olive oil.
Unluckily it happens more than what you can imagine as the profits are 6 or 7 times more than selling the premium product!
