Two new coffees from Costa Rica just landed! 🇨🇷

Both come from the Ureña Rojas family and their farm, Café Rivense del Chirripó Café Rivense del Chirripó

We've got a full honey as a filter roast and an anaerobic natural for espresso. Both are Red Catuai from the La Catarata plot. Hugly recommended! Pure Chirripó magic in two very different cups.

Bombe in the menu!

We just released an anaerobic natural from Ethiopia in our webshop. This one coming from the Bombe Washing station in Sidama. This coffee has a lot going on. Something you don't find in our line-up that often.

The Finnish Aeropress Championships were held few weeks ago by CCF - Coffee Competitions Finland and we had the pleasure of roasting the competition coffee that was provided by Primavera Green Coffee .

Our Lauri was also one of the judges at the comp, deciding who brewed the best cups and got a ticket to the World AeroPress® Championship World Championships held in Mexico later this year.

Winner was Joonas Markkanen (congrats!!) and you may buy the competition coffee and try the winning recipe that was used for securing the no1 spot! Head down to our webshop where you can buy it amd read the recipe and more info about the coffee.

Ethiopia season is in full swing! 🇪🇹

First up: a washed lot from Siko washing station, Uraga, Guji. Think yellow fruit such as peach and apricot jam, topped off with a floral, tea-like finish. Smooth and super tasty.

Then there’s a natural from Danche washing station (our old friend), Gedeb, Gedeo. Candy-like sweetness, lychee, and a whole bouquet of florals.

We’re roasting both for filter and espresso, so whichever you prefer - we’ve got you covered!

Ripe and red coffee cherries going to the processing facility at Café Rivense del Chirripó in Chirripó, Costa Rica last december.

These coffee cherries have now gone through the processing (pulping, fermentation, drying, sorting, hulling, etc.) and transportation all the way to Europe and Finland, and have arrived to our roastery. We bought full honey, natural and anaerobic natural, and we've done few test roasts and will be releasing the first coffee in the upcoming weeks.

Fresh crop Kenya and Ethiopia has arrived👏

We have Ruera Peaberry from Kiambu, Kenya. Super fresh and lively coffee, juicy with berry notes.

And then Siko from Guji, Ethiopia. Well structured, sweet and elegant, with floral and yellow stone fruits. This one we have as filter and espresso roast.

There is power in community!

A week ago we took part in a cupping at MOK Coffee during the in Brussels. Four roasteries, four coffees each, everyone invited to the table.

This is what we love about this industry. People are curious about what others are doing, but they’re also open to sharing what they know. It’s not about keeping “secrets” to yourself. And everybody is eager to learn more, and push themselves and others forward.

This is where it all begins. Tiny white flowers today, coffee cherries tomorrow (well, in a few months).

The flowers themselves only last a few days. But from bloom to a ripe cherry ready to pick it takes months (usually from 6-9 depending on conditions and variety). So that flower you see now won’t end up in a cup until anytime soon.

World of Coffee Brussels is over.

Three days of seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and drinking tasty coffees. Always good to step out of the roastery and see what's going on in the industry, and see just how many people are obsessed with the same thing we are: coffee.
