Come to discover the mystical category of Pu’er teas with us!

We’re so happy to have our old friend Jesse visiting again and hosting a tasting on this intriguing topic! The tea stars ✨ of the tasting are two well-aged (20+ years) Pu’er teas which are aged in Taiwan and Hong Kong respectively.

The contracts of these two style storages are so interesting: classic, wet, dank Hong Kong storage, and Taiwanese storage, which favors a drier, “purer” style of aging. Hong Kong-style storage in particular is something you rarely encounter outside East Asia.

Alongside these two main courses of tea, we‘ll taste some other exampes to give us a wider context.

You don‘t need any prior knowledge of pu’er, sheng, shu, or storage styles to enjoy this. We‘ll walk through all of it together at the table. If pu’er is new to you, this is a rare chance to get a real feel for aging and fermentation in this style of tea. And if you‘re already a seasoned pu head, come anyway. You’ll get to see exactly what shu pu‘er is trying to imitate.

Tea & Meditation at Muyō 🍵

We’re so happy to announce that our long-time tea friend Jarkko, tea expert and meditation enthusiast, will start hosting guided tea and meditation sessions MUYO.

Tea & Meditation is becoming a regular gathering at Muyō, creating space to explore how these two practices can quietly support and deepen one another.

For tea lovers, it’s a chance to experience tea beyond aroma and flavour — noticing instead how tea affects the body, attention, senses, and state of mind.

For those familiar with meditation, tea brings another dimension to the practice through warmth, sensory awareness, and a subtle shift of energy.

No previous experience with tea or meditation is needed. 🌿
