After a busy high season, it’s time for us to take a little break, relax and recharge our batteries. 😊

So, this week Gema’s Stone Grill will be CLOSED on TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY.

We’re taking these two days to rest and recharge, and we’ll be back on Thursday ready to welcome you as always. 🔋✨

I honestly don’t have the words to thank you all for the incredible love and support we’ve received. ❤️ It has been so emotional reading every message and comment and seeing so many people standing by us. Moments like this make you realise how many wonderful people you have around you. 🥹

After the numerous reviews that have been posted about us, some of them from different profiles repeating the same accusations, I feel it is necessary to clarify what actually happened.
These people came to our restaurant and ate with us. Their plates were practically empty when they finished. When the bill was presented, they stated that they did not want to pay for a portion of king prawns that they had ordered themselves. To avoid any argument, I removed the item from the bill without any dispute.
The only thing I later mentioned, politely and respectfully, was that it is not appropriate to enter and remain in our restaurant with alcoholic drinks purchased from another bar and that, if they entered the premises again, they should please wear a shirt. Nothing more.
From that moment on, the situation became completely disproportionate. There were photographs, videos, offensive gestures, phone calls, messages and insults. Several days have now passed and, instead of ending, new reviews continue to appear from different profiles attacking not only our food but almost every aspect of our business, even including comments about the surrounding parking facilities.
In addition, these individuals continue to spend time daily in the establishment opposite our terrace and the provocations towards us have not stopped.
We fully accept that not everyone will enjoy our food or service. Genuine and respectful criticism is part of running a business. What we cannot accept is a continuous campaign of negative reviews and attacks intended to damage our reputation.
There was never any need for the situation to escalate. We simply asked for respect regarding two basic rules of our establishment: not bringing drinks from other venues and wearing a shirt inside the restaurant.
For our part, we will not continue engaging in public arguments. We are keeping records of the reviews, messages, photographs, videos and other evidence related to these events and, if this situation continues, we will take the appropriate steps to protect our business.
