🍀 **A QUICK WORD ABOUT THE PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL… ⚽**
We’ve been getting asked this question a LOT lately…
“Are you showing the Premier League football?”
Unfortunately, the answer is no. And here’s why…
With just 3 tables inside, the nearly €4,000 annual cost of a Premier League licence simply doesn’t make commercial sense for us anymore. Especially when our live music regularly fills the terrace with people coming to enjoy the atmosphere, the music, the food and a few drinks — not necessarily to watch the football.
And let’s be honest, with bars and restaurants closing or going up for sale all along the Costa del Sol, we have to make sensible decisions to keep O’Leary’s open, healthy and profitable.
We know some of our football-mad customers might be disappointed. Cian included, as he’s now missing every Man United game… although those who know him might argue that’s actually a blessing for his mental health! 😂🔴
But the reality is that O’Leary’s is a live music venue and restaurant first and foremost. We’re a small, independent bar, and as much as we’d love to be everything to everyone, we simply can’t be.
We’re sticking to what we do best: great food, great live music, a cracking atmosphere and a place where everyone can feel welcome. 🎸🍔🍻
