🎷 Feelin’ Good with Daniel at Billie’s 🎶

Last night, Daniel took the stage with his saxophone for his take on the classic “Feelin’ Good” — a song that has been recorded by everyone from Nina Simone to Michael Bublé, and one that sounds right at home in the intimate atmosphere of Billie’s Piano Bar and Speakeasy.

Daniel is a classically trained vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has performed on saxophone, clarinet, flute and piano, with experience ranging from the Albany Symphony to The Temptations. But sometimes, all you need is a great song, a saxophone, and a room full of people listening.

A British contralto/mezzo with a love of blue-eyed soul and rock’n’roll, Vikki always brings a distinctive character to the songs she performs — and “Faith” was a perfect fit for her voice and style.

Last night at Billie’s, Vicki Vvox put her own unmistakable spin on Britney Spears’ iconic “...Baby One More Time.”

With her rich contralto/mezzo voice and soulful, bluesy style, Vicki turned a late-’90s pop classic into something entirely her own. It’s always fun to hear a familiar song through a completely different musical lens—and Vicki definitely made this one hers! 🎶

We’re kicking off the week with Daniel, Billie’s co-owner and resident musician. A classically trained vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Daniel moves effortlessly between piano, saxophone, clarinet, and flute, with a repertoire spanning jazz, Broadway, contemporary favorites, and more. Expect exceptional musicianship, audience interaction, and a few surprises along the way.

📅 Thursday, October 8 – LauMarie 🎶

LauMarie returns to the Billie’s stage with her versatile vocals and engaging performance style. A professional singer and performer based on the Costa del Sol, she moves comfortably from intimate acoustic performances to energetic party sets, with an eclectic repertoire that includes her popular Madonna and ABBA tribute shows. She also plays piano and ukulele, making every performance a little different.

Last night at Billie’s, Suzette Moncrief brought her unmistakable combination of soul, jazz, funk and R&B to the stage with her take on Ani DiFranco’s “32 Flavors.”

With her roots in New York and Puerto Rico and her deep musical connection to the Costa del Sol, Suzette has a way of making every song completely her own — and this one was a perfect fit.

Originally written and recorded by Ani DiFranco in 1995 for her album Not a Pretty Girl, “32 Flavors” is a song about individuality, self-acceptance and refusing to be defined by other people’s expectations.

Thank you, Suzette, for another fantastic night at Billie’s!
