I can see on the page that lots of you are still checking the Mels English Cafe website. I am still on the Island enjoying my ‘retirement’ but no longer spending much time at Mirage as they are not open for breakfast any more so hopefully I will see you ‘out and about’ in town and if you fancy a catch up leave me a message on the fb page and we can arrange to meet up somewhere…….

Hopefully now Boris has given the green light you will all manage to get over to Ibiza this summer - i decided to ‘hang up’ my dancing shoes and have officially retired from Mel’s now. It has been taken over by someone Spanish and will no longer be a ‘British’ bar. I however have not left the Island and would love to see you all if you manage to come over. I will be in Mirage in the port of Santa Eulalia most days for breakfast and lunch so if you are looking for a replacement for Mel’s ‘touch of home’ I can highly recommend you go there - they have a great chef and it’s a fantastic location. Please send me a message via fb when you are over and I will make sure I am around in Mirage that day so we can catch up ...... hopefully see you all soon ...Kate

September 30th....... All closed up now - such a shame so many of you didn’t manage to get over this year.... hopefully I shall see you all next year ..... I have missed you all ... fingers crossed opening day May 1st 2021 😂

All closed up now for the summer - what a strange season - so few of my regulars managed to get over - for those of you that did it was great to see you and for those that didn’t I have missed you all and hopefully you will manage to get over next year so I will see you then.....opening day 1st May 2021 ...... we hope😂

1st May - I should be opening my bar as I have done for the last 28 years on this date - what a horrible time for everyone - I will keep you updated as soon as I can open - in the meantime stay safe everyone - We are all waiting for you here in Santa Eulalia

Good morning everyone from lockdown in Ibiza ..... looks increasingly unlikely that we will get open in May but let’s all keep our fingers crossed for June - for anyone who normally comes in May (I know there are loads of you) hopefully I will get to see you later in the summer. Stay home and stay safe. We are waiting for you here for when we beat this virus ....

Only 2 degrees celsius early this morning and frost on the ground but sun is still shining and its another gorgeous day in Ibiza - get booking those holidays to come and visit Mels this summer

Mel’s is now closed for the winter and will re-open on 1st May 2019. It’s been great to see everyone this year and thank you for your continued support
