Did you know that your favourite bravas, Billy’s Volcánicas, have a family history behind them?
For years, Miquel Ruiz’s bravas were one of the classics and firm favourites at .
When Adrián began taking Billy’s in a new direction, he wanted to create his own version, inspired by his father’s and adapted to the ingredients he had available in the kitchen at the time.
They were one of the first dishes to move away from the simpler offering we had in our early days. And here they are, many years later, having become a Billy’s classic in their own right.
Black garlic, aioli, fried corn… some of the ingredients in our Volcánicas make them far from your usual bravas, but seriously delicious.
The original ones are no longer on the El Baret menu, at least not as we knew them. They are now “Braves baix la mar” 😋
And now for the big question…
Could the son have outdone the father when it comes to potatoes?
We’re not getting involved in any family arguments… 😏
Better try both versions and come back to tell us which one is your favourite.
