The guests may also spend some time at the hotel. There is a pretty and very spacious pool area with sun beds. You can enjoy with the big chess, minigolf, pool, ping-pong table, internet room (extra charge), One of the most famous beaches of Gran Canaria, Puerto Rico is only 50 metres away by steps; also Amadores beach is only 1 km away and you can go walking nearby the sea, It is a fabulous way . At the Puerto Rico beach there is a large variety of water sport that the guests may enjoy as sailing, windsurfing, diving, sea excursions.. All your dreams can be true . The golf lovers may also go to Anfi Tauro just 2 km from the hotel. And if after all that you want to relax near Punta del Rey there is a Thalasoterapy Center. Facilities & Services

🌴✨ A new chapter for Punta del Rey Brasserie ✨🌴

From 1 June 2026, Punta del Rey reopens for the summer season, and with it comes an important new chapter for the restaurant within the complex. ☀️🌊

The previous restaurant will now be under new management, with a fresh approach, a renewed sense of care and a clearer focus on quality, service and atmosphere. This is not simply a reopening. It is a considered new beginning for a restaurant with one of the finest views in the area. 🍽️🥂

Punta del Rey Brasserie will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering guests plenty of choice throughout the day. From morning coffee, fresh breakfasts and relaxed lunches to cocktails, brasserie dining and easy evening meals by the sea, the aim is to create a place that feels welcoming, well run and enjoyable at every hour. ☕🍳🍸🌅

With sea views, a warm setting and a new team behind it, the restaurant will return with a stronger identity and a better overall experience for guests, residents and visitors alike. 🌴✨

🌴✨ A new name, a new standard at Punta del Rey ✨🌴

From 1 June 2026, Punta del Rey reopens for the season, bringing with it a fresh new chapter for the bar formerly known as Coco Loco. ☀️🌊

The bar will return under new management and with a complete new identity as The Royal Point, a more polished lounge bar focused on better drinks, better bites, warmer service and those unmistakable sunset views. 🍸🍽️🌅

Expect a more considered atmosphere, well made cocktails, relaxed food, and a setting designed to make the most of Punta del Rey’s extraordinary position above the sea. 🥂✨

🏖️✨ How to Get from Puerto Rico Beach to Punta del Rey in About 3 Minutes 😍🌴

A lot of you asked for this in the comments… so here it is 👀

If you’re thinking about staying at Punta del Rey and want to know what the walk is like back from the beach, this video shows you exactly what to expect.

We recorded the full route from Puerto Rico Beach up to Punta del Rey so you can see the real distance for yourself 🚶‍♂️🌊 No maps, no guessing—just the actual walk.

On the way up, I also share a few quick stories to give you a better feel for the area.

It’s still quicker and easier than most people think, even going uphill 😮 That makes a big difference if you want somewhere comfortable but still close to the beach and everything around Puerto Rico 🌴🍹
