Well it's official. Craig and I have sold our beloved chippy. We loved loved loved the work and the people, but at the end of the day my heart just won't play ball, and it became a question of choosing work or health - so we chose my health. We want to sincerely, and I mean wholeheartedly sincerely with grateful hearts thank everyone for their support, kind words, custom and love to newcomers that you all have shown us in the past year. I move on now to my career with ReMax, and Craig is happily going back into long haul transport. We have missed so many regulars during lockdown and we remember all of you, so please drop us a line and let us know how you are getting on, or if you see us please stop and say hi!! It may only be two words, but they're sent from the heart. Thank you. The new owners will be opening soon, they're hoping within the next week I believe. We wish them the best of luck in the world :)

Check out our beautiful fish and chips! Now THAT is a good portion of fish and chips and that's only our regular size!! We also have fairy cakes left for Andrea's Animal Rescue, please help this wonderful charity - we will take any items for donation and of course cash if you have any spare available! It's burger making day (again!!) They're flying out the door lately and that's a great thing!! Plain or with cheese they're the best homemade burgers around! Or amp it up and try my special Mushroom Swiss burger - sauteed mushrooms in a special cream sauce layered on emmenthal cheese and a homemade patty served in a brioche bun! SERIOUS YUM!!! open 5-9 takeaway and delivery ;) don't forget to add a special fairy cake to support Andrea's Animal Rescue!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! We open today at 5, excited to get back at it! The charity fairy cakes for Andrea's Animal Rescue are ready to go, I mucked one up so of course we had to sample it - they are DELICIOUS!! I've got them programmed into the online system, so please support this wonderful charity with your 2€ donation per fairy cake! Have a wonderful week, looking forward to seeing everyone!

We had the distinct pleasure of chatting with the lovely Andrea from Andrea's Animal Rescue & The Henrietta Foundation (https://www.facebook.com/andreasanimalrescue) today. What an absolute gem this lady is. She's currently caring for upwards of 90 (NINETY?!!?) rescued donkeys - in addition to handling care for all other types of animals. Can you imagine?! They've been hit hard by lockdown (as so many charities have) because traffic is so reduced to their charity shops. I wanted to find some way to help, and I've decided that since everyone loves cake (they do, right?!?!), that I'll be offering Rich Chocolate OR Sweet Vanilla Fairy cakes (covered in delicious buttercream and sprinkles) to our customers this week (until Saturday only!). They will sell for 2 euros/fairycake, and 100% of the funds collected will be donated directly to Andrea's Animal Rescue. We will also be collecting any cash donations that you would like to add in, as well as charity items to sell in their shop. This is available for delivery AND collection in the shop! You can help a wonderful organization that helps SO very many animals without having to travel outside of your home area :) Should you wish to donate items please drop them at the chippy (Wed-Sat 5-9 PM) or if they are smaller we will gladly collect them from you should you order your food for delivery. I know it may not be a lot, but even as we struggle with the reduced traffic of lockdown I feel it's important that we give back and help others too. Happy Saturday everyone!! While Saturdays seem to be "kebab" nights (and we've got a fresh stick early on the roast just for that!), we've had quite a lot of Cod Roe and Fish Cakes orders this past week!! Cod roe seems to be a love it or hate it type dish, but those that love it come in and fight for it!! God help us when we're down to 1 portion left lol - both items sell for 2 for 4 euros - it's a healthy portion for a fantastic supper!! OR share with your S.O. and add chips to the order for a complete meal! Lovely jubbly!!
