Dear Friends, supporters and customers…………….
We have to sadly officially announce that our wonderful business ‘Buddies’ will shut the doors for the final time on Thursday 10th September 2026 after 32 years
Andrés and I are so grateful for your friendship, custom and support. We have made so many good friends over the years, many of whom we are still in regular contact with. We have so many great memories of our years in the Yumbo centre and you all have made this possible.
We decided that it was well due for us to retire and let someone else carry on with new ideas. We wish them every success for the future.
We would also like to mention our very good friends and neighbours at Copacabana in the square, now officially the friendliest bar in the Yumbo. We hope to meet many of you there soon. Also Eric and Jack Meiker, our former next door neighbours with whom we enjoyed many Jager and Rama shots over the fence when the bell rang.
Finally, a big thank you to our wonderful teams, present and past. Especially our ever hard working manager and friend Gariella Quinn for the last 15 years.
We will be having a final blow out with a previous manager of Buddies (and also great friend), Cherry Thackrah for one of her ‘BIG BIRTHDAYS’. It will be tomorrow Tuesday 8 from 4;30pm, everyone is welcome. Free buffet and I’m sure Gary will have many special offers on drinks. It will be hosted by our resident compére and all round entertainer, ADAM MARKS. So if you are free, drop in to what promises to be a very interesting and entertaining evening.
We hope we will see many of you again, but for now… Thank You and T.T.F.N.
