Did you know that for centuries, many inhabitants of Gran Canaria lived in cave houses?

This ancient tradition, dating back to the island's aboriginal Guanche people, is still alive today! In mountain villages like Artenara, you can find modern homes, chapels, and even restaurants built directly into the volcanic rock.

And, after a fun-packed day of sightseeing, stop by La Plaza for lunch for a well-deserved enjoyment under the Canary sky.
