What. A. Night. 😂🔥

A bottle of ch*****ne? Tick. 🥂
An absolutely insane tasting menu? Tick. 🍽️
A brilliant sommelier who clearly knew a LOT more about w**e than we ever will? Tick. 🍷😂

But then… we got taken into the kitchen. 👀

And not just for a quick peek — we were shown how they actually cook the oysters over the fire. 🔥🦪

Watching it all happen right in front of us was incredible. The smell, the flames, the theatre… and obviously the very important job of eating the oysters afterwards. 😋

Ekstedt, you’ve officially raised the bar. What started as “let’s go out for dinner” turned into ch*****ne, incredible food, fire, oysters and a behind-the-scenes kitchen experience.

Basically, a normal Tuesday night… if you’re living your best life. 😂🥂🔥

🎂 BIRTHDAY GIRL IN LONDON! 🎂

Today is my birthday… and naturally, I decided to celebrate by bringing the flu with me. 🤧😂

But apparently nothing — NOT EVEN A VIRUS — is going to stop me from eating my way through my London restaurant inspiration list. 🍴

Because priorities. 😂

And just when I thought my birthday couldn’t get better… tonight I’m being taken to Ekstedt at The Yard, the London restaurant of the Swedish fire-cooking legend Niklas Ekstedt. 🔥🇸🇪

So the birthday plan is basically:

Eat. Drink. Cough. Repeat. 😂🥂

My immune system may have booked a different itinerary, but I’ve got restaurants to visit! ❤️🔥

🥕 Holy Carrot… what a happy accident! 🥕

We booked Holy Carrot… but apparently London decided we needed a little adventure because there are TWO of them and, of course, we went to the wrong one! 😂

But honestly? Best mistake ever. They accommodated us anyway, and even better… the chef was actually there! 🙌

After all that incredible food, we got lucky enough to meet the big mind behind it all. Daniel Watkins What a pleasure to meet such a creative talent and put a face to all those delicious plates. ❤️

Sometimes getting lost is exactly where you’re supposed to end up! 🥕✨

Pre-birthday celebrations done right! 🥂🎂

Managed to sneak into one of the newest and coolest restaurants in London — KID — and what a find! 🔥

Amazing Turkish food, incredible flavours, beautiful little plates… and clearly we came hungry! 😂

We’re officially closed for a little holiday break! 🥳

Time to put the aprons away, swap the kitchen for somewhere else, and remember what normal people do on a Monday. 😂

We’ll be back 6th October with full batteries, new ideas and, of course, plenty of good food and drinks.

My little helper has been promoted to the kitchen today! 😂👨‍🍳

A LOT of prep done for our last night shift — clearly child labour is the secret ingredient to surviving hospitality. 😜

Tomorrow we’re OPEN FOR LUNCH ONLY… then we’re officially switching off, putting our feet up and pretending we don’t know what a kitchen is. 😂

No space? We’ll make some. 😂

At La Sucrería, somehow there’s always room for one more… even if the floor plan strongly disagrees. ❤️

We begin our day like this… 🍊🥂

Nothing says “I’m on holiday” quite like an Aperol at 11am.
The only problem? We’re working. 😂

We absolutely LOVE the feeling of being on holiday… for everyone else! You lot are sipping Aperol, relaxing in the sunshine and pretending you don’t have emails.

Meanwhile, we’re behind the bar making sure those Aperols keep coming. 😎

And yes… our kitchen is OPEN ALL DAY, so there’s absolutely no need to wait for lunch. Come hungry, come thirsty, come suspiciously early. 😂

My second home ❤️

Some people have a second home… I have a kitchen. 😂❤️
The place where I spend most of my time, sweat, swear, create, taste, laugh, and somehow still love every minute of it.

I genuinely love my job — even on the crazy days. This kitchen has become such a huge part of my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 👩‍🍳❤️

And this week, before we disappear for a little holiday break, we’re making the most of it!
