Waking up and trying to come to terms with quitting. I don’t give up. But yesterday I had to. 75km and 18 hours into our 100km walk I had to stop. Absolutely gutted but with bleeding feet, I couldn’t walk another step.

I’ve been planning to walk 100km non stop for over a year, and finally settled on a date, to start at 10pm on Friday and walk through the night and the following day until we hit 100km. The incredible decided to it with me so off we set, head torches on, following a route created for us by . We had our wonderful men meet us every two hours in cars filled with snacks and drinks and changes of clothes and medical supplies and friends came and joined us en route. But sadly none of that was enough to ward off the ever growing blisters on my feet that bled through my socks and took over my entire heels. We tried another 2km but I couldn’t. So we stopped. We will complete it another day and I’m already thinking about attempting the whole 100km again in the autumn. Turns out yesterday was also the hottest day in Ibiza so far this year.

So, THANK YOU to everyone who sponsored me. We raised an incredible £1,512 for and Jessie May charities. And thank you to who I couldn’t have done a single step without ❤️❤️
