Having lived in Girona for the past 8 years and noticing the potential for a specialty coffee shop they decided to break into the caffeine world, opening Girona's first third wave cafe. With a passion for cycling and all things high quality and hand made, the cafe features Rocket Es

presso Machines (La Fabrica is the only distributor in Spain) all sorts of coffee making tools, black and white photos of Christians favourite cycling moments, as well as freshly roasted coffee beans, healthy ride food, homemade muesli and a great atmosphere.

When Christian was a cyclist, we always used to use the word Off Season. How much we would look forward to it, a break from the High Season. Less training on the bike, more eating and early nights to bed.

A time to reset and relax. To hibernate and find solitude in quiet.

January and February are the two slowest months of the year. Sometimes we think about closing but we always come back to the fact that even if just a handful of people come in for a coffee, we want to be here for you.

So we are playing tic-tac-toe, everyone is taking turns for vacations, some of us are finishing exams, learning a new language, and doing small home renovations. It’s amazing.

Mid January is treating us pretty good so far 🤩

Rides in the sun, all of our favourite coffee shops are open (Girona doesn’t really close for the off season) and the charm of this specially city keeps giving, year round.

Holy sh*t, it was a big one! One of our busiest and most chaotic ones yet.

The beauty of hospitality (and being stubborn like us) is you just have to keep going. No matter how hard, no matter how tired.

Looking back on the year there are certain moments I don’t know how we made it to the other side. Crazy isn’t it? After ten years of doing the same thing you can have a year that almost breaks you. The ironic thing is, what almost breaks you, is what you end up being grateful for.

What’s life without its struggles? Meaningless.

What’s hospitality without heartbreak? An average offering.

You have to go ALL IN to make something successful.

That means getting hurt. It means having standards. It means having to cut out what doesn’t serve you so you can deliver the best experience possible.

So yes, this year was a tough one. It was a 10 year anniversary gift to us. A reminder to stay humble. A reminder of why we opened a specialty cafe. A reminder as to who we are as business owners; what we give and what we expect in return.

Looking back on 2025, we wouldn’t change a thing.

Happy New Year to all of our amazing guests, our beautiful team, our local distributors and a big shout out to those small business owners all around the world. We will succeed, because we are insane. 🙏

This is our Chia Sensation and our Italian Orchard.

Chia - coconut chai pudding with cinnamon pear compote, granola, fresh berries and our signature edible flowers.

Italian - a thick layer of mascarpone cheese, cinnamon pear compote, orange zest, fresh mint and violet sugar.
