El Real Madrid C. F. quiere agradecer las numerosas muestras de cariño, solidaridad y afecto recibidas desde todas las partes del mundo hacia nuestro jugador Vinicius Júnior.
Los ataques de odio y racismo deben ser erradicados de nuestra sociedad para siempre y así se han pronunciado personalidades de todos los ámbitos y desde diferentes instituciones nacionales e internacionales después de lo ocurrido ayer en el estadio de Mestalla.
Nuestro club muestra su gratitud a la máxima autoridad del fútbol mundial, el presidente de FIFA Gianni Infantino, que ha dicho que se detengan y se suspendan los partidos donde se cometan estos delitos de odio.
También nuestro agradecimiento al presidente de Brasil, Lula Da Silva, quien pide que se tomen medidas serias para combatir este problema y cuya víctima es, como ha dicho, “un joven que triunfó en la vida y que se está transformando en uno de los mejores futbolistas del mundo”.
Asimismo sus compañeros han mostrado solidaridad y apoyo hacia Vinicius, tanto los del Real Madrid como los del resto de equipos del mundo. Leyendas, jugadores y entrenadores, algunos de ellos tan significativos en el panorama internacional como son Ronaldo Nazario, Mbappé, Rio Ferdinand, Neymar, Kaká, Jadon Sancho, Lineker, Roberto Carlos o Casemiro, entre decenas y decenas de figuras del fútbol mundial.
Los lamentables hechos acontecidos han dado la vuelta al mundo y avergüenzan a nuestro fútbol, tal como quedan reflejados y denunciados en los grandes medios de comunicación internacionales. Desde el Washington Post o L´Équipe, por citar tan solo algunos ejemplos emblemáticos, subrayan de manera muy contundente el grave problema del fútbol español.
Y por último, nos sorprenden las declaraciones del presidente de la Federación Española de Fútbol, Luis Rubiales, porque siendo como es el máximo responsable del fútbol español y del estamento arbitral, ha permitido que no se haya actuado de manera contundente, según los protocolos de FIFA, para evitar la situación a la que se ha llegado. La imagen de nuestro fútbol está gravemente dañada y deteriorada a los ojos de todo el mundo.
Con su pasividad se ha contribuido al desamparo y a la indefensión de nuestro jugador Vinicius. Los árbitros, lejos de actuar con firmeza y aplicar los protocolos reglamentarios, han elegido en la mayoría de los casos inhibirse y evitar tomar las decisiones que les correspondían. Ayer mismo, el colegiado y los responsables del VAR eludieron sus responsabilidades y tomaron decisiones injustas basadas en imágenes incompletas, que no se vieron en su totalidad, que fueron sesgadas y que provocaron la expulsión directa de nuestro jugador Vinicius Júnior.
Lamentablemente, lo ocurrido ayer y la gestión que se hizo por parte de los árbitros y del VAR no lo percibimos como algo aislado, sino como algo que se viene repitiendo en muchos de nuestros partidos. Nunca se puede hacer responsable del delito a la víctima que lo sufre.
Por todo ello, vemos con máxima preocupación que desde la Federación Española de Fútbol no se haya tomado ninguna medida en todo este tiempo, pese a las evidentes y reiteradas señales de alarma que desde nuestro club hemos venido denunciando.
El Real Madrid espera que, dada la gravedad de la situación actual y la imagen que se está ofreciendo del fútbol español ante el mundo, se actúe con contundencia y de manera inmediata por parte de todos los que tienen responsabilidad y competencias para combatir estas lacras que son el racismo, la xenofobia y el odio. Nuestro club continuará trabajando para que los valores que han sustentado nuestra historia sigan siendo modelo de convivencia y ejemplaridad.

Real Madrid C.F. would like to express its gratitude for the countless expressions of love, solidarity and affection received from all over the world for our player Vinicius Júnior.
Attacks of hatred and racism must be eradicated from our society for good and this is what has been voiced by figures from all walks of life and from different national and international institutions after yesterday's events at the Mestalla stadium.
Our club is grateful to world football's highest authority, FIFA president Gianni Infantino, who has said that matches where these hate crimes are committed should be stopped and suspended.
We are also grateful to Brazil President Lula Da Silva, who is calling for serious action to tackle this problem and whose victim is, as he said, "a young man who has succeeded in life and who is developing into one of the best footballers in the world".
His teammates have also expressed their solidarity and support for Vinicius, those at Real Madrid as well as those at other teams around the world. Legends, players and coaches, some of them as prominent on the international scene as Ronaldo Nazario, Mbappé, Rio Ferdinand, Neymar, Kaká, Jadon Sancho, Lineker, Roberto Carlos and Casemiro, as well as dozens and dozens of other world football stars.
The unfortunate events that have occurred have circled the globe and brought shame on our football, as they are reflected and denounced in the mainstream international media. The Washington Post and L'Équipe, to cite just a few symbolic examples, have underlined in a very forceful manner the serious problem facing Spanish football.
And finally, we are surprised by the comments made by the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, because, as he is the head of Spanish football and the refereeing profession, he has not allowed any decisive action to be taken, in accordance with FIFA protocols, to prevent the situation that has arisen. The image of our football is seriously damaged and marred in the eyes of the whole world.
His inaction has resulted in the helplessness and defencelessness of our player Vinicius. The referees, instead of acting with decisiveness and applying the regulatory protocols, have chosen in the majority of the cases to abstain and avoid taking the decisions that corresponded to them. Yesterday, the referee and those in charge of the VAR evaded their responsibilities and made unfair decisions based on incomplete images, which were not seen completely, which were biased and which resulted in the direct sending off of our player Vinicius Júnior.
Unfortunately, what happened yesterday and the handling of it by the referees and the VAR is not perceived as an isolated incident, but as something that has been happening in many of our matches. The victim who experiences the crime can never be held responsible for the offence.
For all these reasons, we are deeply concerned that no action has been taken by the Spanish Football Federation in this period of time, despite the clear and repeated warning signs that we have been denouncing through our club.
In view of the seriousness of the current situation and the image that Spanish football is portraying to the world, Real Madrid hopes that there will be immediate and decisive action by all those with responsibility and competence to tackle the evils of racism, xenophobia and hatred. Our club will continue to strive to ensure that the values that have sustained our history continue to serve as a model of coexistence and exemplary behaviour.
