Restaurante Patio de la Fuente is situated in the lovely old town of Calpe and the fountain in the front entrance is where the restaurant gets its name. This charming building use to be an old farm house complete with stables back 200 years ago. Its been in the same hands for 17 years now and the owner and chef David first bought it as a young chef at just 22 after working at some amazing restaura

nts back in the UK including at the 5* Hotel South Lodge under head chef Anthony Tobin (Tony Tobin from Ready, Steady, Cook)
Davids training was at Westminster college in London and was taught in the same class as Jamie Oliver for 3 years. IMG_0819Since being in Spain the restaurant has gone from strength to strength with many regular customers returning every year for the last 17. You can enjoy the Menu of the day which is served every evening or choose from the Al la Carte menu, both serving a delicious international menu including favourites of slow roasted shoulder of lamb, crispy duck leg, sirloin steak and always a fresh fish dish. Everything is homemade down to the sauces that accompany the main meal to all the gorgeous desserts from cheesecake to bakewell tart, brownie or sticky toffee pudding. There is a lovely enclosed courtyard terrace which is open in the summer months and proves very popular. Come and pay us a visit and receive a lovely warm welcome and delicious food.

We are back! Made it back home safely last night and getting ready to reopen tonight (Friday 20th March)

So, hopefully the final update! I "hope" we have flights on Wednesday 18th! (It will be our 6th attempt at flights two weeks later than planned)

I didnt want to jinx it by updating too soon but there are a few customers booked for Tuesday and Wednesday that unfortunately I don't have details for to let you know. I'm really, really sorry to let anyone down.

We should be back late Thursday evening and will open straight away on Friday 20th

Hi guys, currently still "stuck" here in Thailand. Our 3rd flight has been cancelled and now booked onto another for Saturday 14th. If the airspace in Doha does not open up then they will continue to be cancelled. .
Flights via alternative routes are very few and far between for the next few weeks and are beyond a price we could afford. So will continue to keep you updated. And hope that we can get back as soon as possible. We are obviously safe so feel very grateful for that but really want to get back now.

Hi everyone — just a quick update.
Unfortunately, our travel delay is still ongoing and we won’t make it back until late Friday ( if that flight even goes ahead)
so we’ll now be aiming to reopen on Tuesday 17th March.
We’re really sorry for the longer closure and any inconvenience this causes. Thank you so much for your patience — we’re looking forward to being back and seeing you all soon!

We’re currently closed a little longer than planned due to unexpected flight disruptions. We’re hoping to reopen on Friday 13th March, as long as our rebooked flights go ahead 🤞

We’re Hiring! – Part-Time Waitress/Waiter Wanted

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable person to join our small but perfectly formed team at our lovely, family run restaurant.

Starting beginning of September.
Shifts: Wednesdays and Saturdays, 6pm–11pm (approx.), plus occasional holiday cover.
This role may suit a more mature person that would be happy to just work a couple of evenings per week , but we’re open to all applicants.

We’re lucky to have the best customers, many of whom have been dining with us for years, and we’re excited to welcome someone who’ll enjoy being part of that warm, familiar atmosphere.
