[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW]
Bona tarda! Som la Maria i l'Aleix.
Maria i Aleix.
Good afternoon! Maria and Aleix here. Some of you have already seen O'Higgins' management has changed. On September we were told we'd be back but we've been fired without even being told so. They've waited for some of you to tell us... although a bit more than a month ago Aleix was still trying to sort some things out with the neighbours. All our work, the surrealist schedules imposed by an owner who ignores everything about the town and the pub and was being advised by someone with loads of marketing books but who has never been behind a bar... all that has been useless. For them, not for you or for us. That goes without saying.
We've been told they've changed the tables -Alan's tables- and the chairs and that the menu includes whatever-foie-mi-cuit they probably spice up with the bar's dignity. We unwillingly close an era, and we do it by thanking everybody who's been at our side. As customers, as mates, as friends, not just last year but during the over fifteen years some of us have known each other. The list would be too long, you know who you are and what we've shared inside the bar, especially those who grew up in there. One name has to be highlighted, though: Alan Robert Higgins, thank you so very much for everything, we did what we could to keep on with what the bar used to be.
Big hug to everybody. Forever yours,
Maria and Aleix.
