The End of an Era – Thank You, Nico 💜

At the end of this month, Nico will step away from Café Benidorm after 45 unforgettable years. It’s hard to put into words what this place means to him—or what he means to this place.

For more than four decades, he has been the beating heart of Café Benidorm, welcoming everyone with his warmth, kindness, and a personal touch that made this more than just a bar—it became a home away from home for so many. He has seen generations come and go, watched friendships and love stories unfold, and created countless memories that will live on long after he takes his well-earned rest.

The truth is, Café Benidorm will never be the same without him. But what he has built—through his hard work, passion, and dedication—will remain forever. To those of you who have shared a drink, a laugh, or a moment with him over the years, thank you. You have been part of his journey, just as he has been part of yours.

Nico, you deserve all the happiness in the world in this new chapter. We love you, we admire you, and we will always be grateful for everything you have given.

A finales de este mes, Nico se despide de Café Benidorm después de 45 años inolvidables. Es difícil expresar con palabras lo que este lugar significa para él, o lo que él significa para este lugar.

Durante más de cuatro décadas, ha sido el alma de Café Benidorm, recibiendo a todos con su calidez, amabilidad y ese trato personal que convirtió este sitio en mucho más que un bar: en un hogar lejos de casa para muchos. Ha visto generaciones pasar, ha sido testigo de amistades, romances y momentos inolvidables que quedarán para siempre en la memoria de quienes han pasado por aquí.

La verdad es que Café Benidorm nunca será lo mismo sin él. Pero lo que ha construido con su esfuerzo, pasión y dedicación seguirá vivo en cada rincón de este lugar. A todos los que han compartido una copa, una risa o una conversación con él a lo largo de los años, gracias. Habéis formado parte de su historia, igual que él ha sido parte de la vuestra.

Nico, te mereces toda la felicidad del mundo en esta nueva etapa. Te queremos, te admiramos y siempre estaremos agradecidos por todo lo que has dado.

The day we have been waiting for is finally upon us. Cafe Benidorm will open its doors next Wednesday 18th. It will be open from 5pm to 12:30am.

We would like to thank you from all the messages that we have been receiving during the past 18 months. It has been a long road, but here we are.

Dear friends,

One year ago, we were forced to close the doors at Cafe Benidorm due to the pandemic of Covid-19. At that time, we barely knew the consequences of the virus, and we could not imagine that one year later, our doors will be still closed. This year has been the most difficult year for many of us, but this nightmare will come to an end soon.

We still have to wait a little more to do it, but at Cafe Benidorm we are looking forward to opening our doors again. We have too many songs to dance, too many drinks to serve and too many moments to celebrate with all of you.

Dear Cafe Benidorm friends,

We are sorry to inform you that we have finally been forced to postpone the opening date we had planned for July 30th.
The past few weeks have been difficult for the management and staff of Cafe Benidorm, who had been working tirelessly for weeks so that the Cafe could open its doors last Thursday, July 30th.

The new restrictions imposed by the United Kingdom, as well as the uncertainty we are suffering in the country as a result of the evolution of contagion have forced us to take this very difficult decision.

In addition to this, we should add that Spain is taking the right measures and actions in order to fight the COVID-19, with the goal to ensure the safety of every single tourist that we host in our cities, especially in Benidorm.

We don't have an opening date yet, so we will keep you informed on our social networks.

We apologize and we look forward to seeing you as soon as posible.
