In other news, definitely going to be one of those weeks…not even 09:45 on a Tuesday morning and already we’ve sent Fish & Chips, Cajun Chicken and a Giant Yorkshire Pudding😂💪🇬🇧

Quick Mention about tomorrow on The Corner (27/09)

🚨We will be working at a REDUCED capacity🚨

We are still open, ofcourse, but we have removed a certain amount of chairs and tables, and prepped to do less Sunday Lunches than usual…to try and ease the pressure on our team.

Long story, as short as possible.

Many months ago we booked for Sofìas 9th Birthday present…for her to come and see her favorite superstar here in Madrid, Shakira 💃

The date also coincided with us celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary and coming back to the city that we came to for a Mini-Moon, exactly 10 years ago this weekend…

However since booking all of this a long time ago, our staffing situation has become extremely unfortunate, to say the least. (A VERY long story)

The option was to close, or to try and ease the pressure and find a way to stay open…and that’s what we’ll do💪

Basically, all we ask is if you’re in tomorrow, please be patient. The team are doing their best. If you fancy Sunday Lunch, get in early, and once it’s gone, we’ll be closing for the day👍

I’m sure Peter is “fishing” here…surely he’s got to be…and I’m gonna be honest…he’s caught me 🎣🤯😆

I mean. You can maybe not like our food. Not like our service. Not like us… maybe all 3, and honestly, I don’t mind, we try our best, every day, and that’s all you can do…

But to give us a 1 Star Review on our prices…to suggest to the public you need to be careful of our prices😳 Nah, not having that🤨

The breakfast in question…a No4 (pictured below)

That’s 1 English Bacon, 1 Irish Sausage, 1 Black Pudding, 1 Fried Egg, 1 Roberts Bread Toast, Heinz Beans, Fresh Mushrooms & Tinned Tomatoes…and it’s €5.50.

Cooked Fresh to Order by the Owner or the same 2 British Cooks who have been on The Corner for years…

And apparently you need to be careful of our prices!

This week we’re celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary

18 Years in Benidorm, 14 Together, 10 Married, 9 with Sofia & 8 on The Corner…The Journey Continues❤️

Thought this summed us up pretty well, seen as over our years in our Family Business here we’ve been through thousands and thousands of tins😂

And here’s to opening many more together💪😆

Every single breakfast is cooked fresh to order. When the waitress/waiter takes your order and presses send…the ticket goes to the kitchen.

At that point, your egg gets dropped in the pan, the bacon goes on to the plancha, the toaster goes down etc;

Within an average of less than 10 minutes your freshly cooked British Breakfast is infront of you👍
(Sometimes can be within a few minutes, sometimes longer, depending on how busy we are, obviously)

Received an email this morning telling us we once again received a Travelers Choice Award from TripAdvisor…keeping us in the top 10% of Restaurants in the World. We’ll take that💪

🚨🎅CHRISTMAS REMINDER🎅 🚨

Getting lots of messages and requests regarding Xmas

Just a reminder guys. As every year for the last 5 years we will once again be CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY.

We will also be CLOSED NEW YEARS DAY.

Apart from those 2 days we plan to be OPEN EVERY DAY over the festive period, as normal, 9am - 5pm EXCEPT FOR THOSE 2 DAYS👍

The reason we close Christmas Day remains the same. Basically, we want to spend Christmas Day with our daughter. We are just the 3 of us here in Spain so it’s important for us with Sofia still young we spend it together.
It also gives our hard working team the day off with their families too, so everyone is happy❤️

As for New Years Day, let’s be honest, nobody wants to be working NYD at 8am, especially in Benidorm. So it means we can finish at 5pm on New Years Eve and all go out and really enjoy the last night of 2026 🎉
