A note from us at Amigos.
Some of you will have seen our posters about the upstairs and roof terrace being closed. Here's where things stand.
After 12 years at Amigos, and with 6 years still to run on our lease, we find ourselves in a difficult dispute that's beyond our control at the moment. We are fighting it, but these things take time.
While that's being worked through, we've had to close our upstairs and roof terrace and reduce to three tables on the ground floor.
We're not giving up. We're now running three sittings a night - 5pm, 7:15pm and 9:30pm - six nights a week. (Monday's closed).
The full menu is still being served, the welcome hasn't changed one bit, and the people who've always made Amigos what it is are still right here behind the bar and in the kitchen. Just on a smaller scale for now.
What we need is simple. Those three tables, full, every night. That's what keeps the team paid and the lights on. Last night we sat 17 people across the three sittings and it was enough - thank you for that. We just need it to keep happening.
So if you've ever had a good night at Amigos, this is the time. We really need your support.
Book a table for the week ahead.
Bring people who haven't been before.
Make it a weekday rather than waiting for the weekend.
