We are on the look out for our new Assistant Roastery Manager :))

As Assistant Roastery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the roastery, working closely with and reporting directly to our Head of Sourcing and Roasting.

In this role, you will be expected to approach your work with a strong sense of responsibility and care, always striving to make socially and environmentally conscious decisions that reflect Prolog Coffee’s values and long-term vision.

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and motivated by creating structure and consistency in the production environment. This role is well suited to someone who is proactive and dependable, with the ability to seamlessly balance production responsibilities alongside planning, communication, and problem-solving. This hands-on role includes receiving and moving green coffee, organising inventory, and requires comfort with some heavy lifting.

An interest in coffee roasting, quality control, and operational improvement is important, as well as a willingness to learn and develop within the role. Experience working in a roastery is a plus, but curiosity, responsibility, and a strong work ethic matter just as much.    

Start date - August 31

This role is part-time (30 hours) from Monday to Friday. Possibility of full time in the future.

This is a nice chance to deepen your knowledge on brewing at home, whether you want to perfect your espresso, V60 method or steaming the silkiest milk.

March 27: 16.00-18.30
April 10: 14.00-16.30

Filter brewing:
April 17: 15.00-17.30

Latte Art
April 9: 16.00-18.30

Course are held in small groups of 4-5 so there is a lot on hands on practice!

We are happy to host Serviette, an independent food magazine from Canada, on March 19 at Papirøen. 
The library space will be taken over with many editions from over the years and Max, founder of Serviette will be there to chat over coffee and introduce the magazine. 

Serviette is a magazine about all things food: where it comes from, how it’s grown, who transforms it and how it’s a huge part of our daily lives. Less about recipes and more about the systems that feed us, the emotional connections formed over food, and the cultural heritage of favourite dishes, it takes a wide-ranging look at what and how we eat.

We just released a new date for our espresso brewing course :))

This is a great opportunity to fine tune those home barista skills and learn some tips and tricks that will achieve a tasty, sense-evoking espresso at home.

You will not only leave the course feeling more confident in your approach but also with an espresso pamphlet with our base line recipe and a place to log your recipes when you are dialing in at home.

Introducing ‘The Cowscope’

This year, we have chosen to only calculate our Scope 1 (direct emissions) and 2 (energy purchases) emissions, since we are directly responsible for these, while Scope 3 also takes into account emissions from other suppliers. Though it’s definitely interesting to understand our Scope 3 emissions, we have found that the significant amount of time spent here would be better spent on researching the supplies that yield the largest amount of emissions - among these: Milk.

We then headed to to get some riso posters printed! Grab one to read while you have a coffee :))
