THE PEOPLE BEHIND TWENTY FOUR SOCIAL CLUB
TWENTY FOUR SOCIAL CLUB was born in Helsinki on October 1st, when three friends made a spontaneous decision to open a neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Kallio.
Between the three of us, we bring decades of experience from restaurants, bars and hospitality.
Kim Päivästö has cooked across Europe, spending time in several Michelin-starred kitchens before eventually settling in Tallinn.
Mika Koivula was part of creating some of Finland’s most influential cocktail bars and restaurants of the 2010s, including Liberty or Death, Trillby & Chadwick and Via Tribunali. Later, as a consultant, he developed beverage concepts for projects such as Marriott’s Version Drinkery and NH Collection Grand Hansa, where Kupoli Bar quickly became one of Helsinki’s most talked-about new cocktail destinations.
Kenneth Löfström has worked with cocktails in both London and Helsinki and, in recent years, has travelled across Finland as Diageo’s Brand Ambassador, educating and inspiring bartenders throughout the country.
When Mika and Kenneth invited Kim to join the Helsinki project, we already agreed that if it was successful, the next one would be in Tallinn, where Kim lives. We just didn’t expect it to happen this soon.
Already in January, Kim started searching for the right location, and after months of looking, we found our new home in Kalamaja.
The renovation is now in its final stages, and we’re all eagerly waiting for the final confirmation of recognizeng date.
TWENTY FOUR SOCIAL CLUB Tallinn won’t be a copy of Helsinki. Think of it as a sister restaurant. You’ll recognize the same atmosphere, philosophy and hospitality, but with its own menu, drinks and personality.
We’ll start by opening Wednesday to Saturday from 4:00 PM, with reservations recommended. We’ll always keep a few tables available for walk-in guests. Our bar seats will always be available for walk-in guests.
As soon as we have our official opening date, we’ll open our reservation calendar, which will always be available three months in advance.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our second home.
