🌊 The story behind the flavors of Montañita. 🦪🇪🇨

Meet Johnny Villao, one of Montañita’s beloved cevicheros and a representative of the local ceviche association.

His story begins years ago, when local fishermen would collect oysters at La Punta and sell them to tourists simply with a squeeze of lime. 🍋

Today, Jhonny, Cevicheria _8 and other local cevicheros have their own boats, supporting their families and contributing every day to the local economy.

Because traveling in Ecuador is so much more than staying in a hotel.

It’s meeting the people who call this place home.
It’s tasting their food.
It’s learning their stories.
It’s supporting local families.
