Being hungry ≠ stealing

We must be doing a very good job when people are willing to run the risk of cheating and steal our takeaway ordered by others.

To the person in the picture.

Dear Sir,

Believe me when I say I know what hunger feels like, as I also once was miserable. At Hidden Dimsum we don’t think anybody deserves going to bed with an empty stomach.

Next time when you are in desperate need, tell the staff discreetly. We will then pack you a dimsum bag. In this way the real customer that ordered the food that you took doesn’t have to wait 30 minutes as we need to remake the food.

Hidden Dimsum received the Børsen Gazelle Prize 2024!

7 years ago, the father of the siblings, who was running a Chinese restaurant at Nytorv 19, decided to retire. The siblings were asked if they wanted to take over. None of us had experience with cooking – though, being Chinese, we loved to eat and critique food. We took over while our competitors laughed and speculated about when we would close the restaurant for good. We approached it with the same determination we had while dealing with the newspaper cart tipping over in the strong wind.

Look where it got us now! The Børsen Gazelle Prize, awarded to just 0.9% of Danish companies for excellence and revenue growth. In life, don’t pay too much attention to the mockery or laughter of others. Stay united and don’t give up. When the cart tips over, believe in family and in the strength of your bond. One day, we will succeed. One day…
