Falstaff just dropped their Streetfood Guide Nordics
2026 — and we scored a 95. 🍜

Third nod this year. Still not used to it.

Copenhagen, we did it again. 🏆

Kūkai Ramen has been nominated for Byens Bedste 2026 by
Berlingske. Second nomination this year, and we’re still
not used to saying that out loud.

We opened as a ten-seat, walk-in-only shop with basically
no plan beyond getting the broth right. No bookings, no
frills, just ramen. That was the whole idea.

Somewhere along the way, the line started reaching the
sidewalk. Every single night turned into something we couldn’t
have predicted. And honestly, we’re just getting started.
there are a lot more people we want to reach, a lot more bowls we want to serve.

None of that happens without the people who kept showing
up, kept telling their friends, kept treating this place
like it was theirs too. It is.

Thank you for building this community with us, one bowl at a time. 💛

It wouldn’t hurt us to have your vote.
🗳️ Link in bio — takes less than a minute
📅 Voting closes August 31st

Ten seats got us here. This is just the beginning. 🍜

Festival Menu!! 🏮🏮

Melon Cream Soda🍈✨

We’re bringing the nostalgic Japanese café classic to Copenhagen!

We even imported traditional melon syrup directly from Japan so you can enjoy the authentic flavor.

The classic way to enjoy it? Scoop up the ice cream, let it slowly melt into the soda, and savor how the flavor changes with every sip

And there’s more!!

As a tribute to Copenhagen, we’ve created a special Faxe Kondi Cream Soda🍾

Made with Faxe Kondi, topped with a slice of fresh orange, and finished with popping candy and a touch of mint oil, it’s our European-style twist on a Japanese favorite

Come and try both at KUKAI! 🍹🇯🇵🇩🇰

We’ve even had authentic seasonings specially sent directly from Japan by friends, so you can experience the real taste

If you’ve never tried Okonomiyaki before, this is your chance. Come and enjoy it at KUKAI! 🍴✨
