The Barking Dog.
The most anticipated bottle of tequila in recent history of special releases! Sophie, the founder of Tequila Calle 23 started teasing us with premature samples of this special release about two years ago, and we waited and waited but Sophie wasn't satisfied enough.
We've been following her live tasting sessions closely, and watch her getting closer and closer to the final product. Now it is here. And you can be the first to taste it.
Criollo El Dos is a truly unique tequila made from a sub spieces of agave tequilana weber azul which almost all tequila is made from. It is called Criollo.
It is a blend of Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo, bottled at 46.7%.
When the clock turns midnight on Saturday the 22nd, we will crack the first bottle open for the official launch on the 23rd. You can buy bottles directly from the bar at 10% discount, you can also settle for a 2cl sample for 69,- (3x23 get it?)
Only 36 bottles were allocated to Denmark and our liquor store Shoppen Nørrebro got the whole allocation, meaning no other shop in Denmark will have this bottle available. How 'bout that! (read the full story on Shoppen's website)
