Our events are a place to gather around tea - to taste, learn and grow in appreciation for the craft and traditions behind it. Whether tea has been part of your life for years or you are simply curious, everyone is welcome at the table.

This October, alongside events hosted by our own experienced team, we are especially honoured to welcome guests from Japan, China, and Colombia who will share their knowledge, craft and traditions with us.

We hope to welcome many of you for our special tea events in october!
Tickets are available through our webshop - link in bio.

Clay shaped by movement, memory and fire.

We are delighted to welcome Colombian ceramic artist Miguel B. Torres to Sing Tehus. His current practice centres on the potter’s wheel as a tool for exploration, with a particular interest in high-temperature wood firing and the possibilities that emerge through the process.

From October 13, a selection of Miguel’s work will be exhibited at Sing Tehus, Rosenvængets Allé 6. To mark the opening, we invite you to join us on October 13 from 17.00 – 19.00 for a special tea tasting, where tea will be brewed using Miguel’s ceramics.

His work explores the relationship between utilitarian objects and their sculptural possibilities. Teapots hold particular significance, offering an ongoing exploration of form, function and technique, while his practice carries traces of spontaneity, memory and his past in Colombia.

Everyone is welcome, we hope to see you.

For one afternoon, we invite you to taste three exceptional matcha from Hoshino Seichaen from Hoshino, Yame. Available to us only in very limited quantities.

11 October at Sing Tehus, Rosenvængets Allé 6 at 12.00 - 13.30 💚

Through Haku, Hoju, and Hoshiju, we explore different expressions of matcha, moving from fresh and elegant to increasingly concentrated, deep, and complex.

These teas will be available for sale following the event, giving our guests the first opportunity to taste them.

Explore how quality, balance, texture, and intensity are expressed in matcha, and how subtle differences can create distinctly different tasting experiences. After tasting all three, choose one to enjoy as a full serving with a small sweet pairing.

We hope to see you for an evening of matcha.
Secure your tickets through our webshop under Events.

We are delighted to welcome tea master Yuta Hiraoka back to Sing Tehus. On October 6 we invite you to an evening exploring two contemporary expressions of Japanese tea: Annon, a new approach to powdered Japanese tea and Wakoucha, Japanese black tea.

6 October at Sing Tehus, Rosenvængets Allé 6 at 17.30 - 19.30 🌿

Yuta joins us from Shizuoka and will guide us through Annon, made from first-flush sencha grown in the mountains of Tamakawa, followed by a tasting of first-flush Wakoucha from Ryogochi across several Japanese cultivars.

We look forward to sharing these teas, and another side of Japanese tea culture, with you!

Seats are limited - tickets are available in our webshop under Events.

Mengding Huangya reminds us of the lingering warmth of late summer.

This delicate yellow tea from Mengding Mountain in Sichuan is made from the youngest, downy buds. What defines yellow tea is men huang, or “yellowing”, where the leaves are gently wrapped and kept warm and humid. This softens the grassy notes associated with green tea and brings out a mellow sweetness.

Light, soft and elegant, Mengding Huangya brings to mind warm late-summer afternoons and the last green days before the colours begin to change 🌞

Enjoy Mengding Huangya in our teahouses, or find it in our webshop.

There is something special about September and the days between seasons.
Some days call for something light and delicate, others for a deeper, warming cup. Choosing tea can be a small way of noticing the weather, your mood and what feels right in the moment.

Enjoy your tea at home, or visit us in our tea houses and let time move a little slower. Come by during our regular opening hours, or join one of our September tea events to explore a little deeper.

Thank you for two beautiful days with Kako Osada at the teahouse🍵 Tea was poured, sweets were shared, and conversations unfolded around the table.

Thank you, Kako, for bringing your work and presence to Sing Tehus, and to anyone who stopped by, stayed for a cup, tasted, talked, and shared the moment with us.

It was a joy having you here, Kako - a beautiful meeting of tea, sweets and people.

As the seasons begin to shift, the colours around us change and the air feels a little different. This September, we invite you to explore tea from different perspectives.

We’ll move through Japanese and Chinese tea traditions, discover the depth of Pu Erh and the craft of Matcha, and look beyond the cup to explore tea through food. Along the way, we’ll pay attention to where tea comes from, how it is made, and how flavour, aroma and texture change with each infusion.

Whether you’re new to tea or looking to deepen your knowledge, there’s something to discover this September.

Tickets are available in webshop, find the link in our bio.
We hope to welcome many of you for our special tea events this month!
