Dear friends of Cell,
We have very sad news today. We had hoped to recover from the trials of the current moment and we tried very hard to do exactly that. It’s warmed our hearts all of you who’ve come down to support us in the last months. ❤️🦞
But today it’s time to tell you that our restaurant on Uhlandstraße will be staying closed for good. We wanted this very much not to be the case, but its the only sustainable option we have left.
To our customers: Thanks so much for all your support and making our little part of the Berlin restaurant community so worthwhile. We hope you’ll be seeing a lot more of our fantastically talented team in the coming months. A team we’re all very sad not to be a part of anymore. 💔
In the longterm we hope this isn’t goodbye forever but it’s very much a goodbye for now. 👋
To Berlin: it’s been a huge pleasure to serve you. Meanwhile, please so as many as possible make it through this crisis. They need all the help you can give.

Dear friends, the challenges of quickly adapting and recalibrating a restaurant at the moment are very, very pressured and whilst we had hoped to reopen Cell today to serve you all once more, we’ve had to take the difficult decision to postpone this reopening for the moment.

Good news though 🍾 - we will still be opening the Cell Späti for Lobster Rolls, Cubano sandwiches, bread and wine to go next week (Wed-Sat, 12:00-16:00) as well as running a Cell Wine Popup with some of our favourites from the cellar and bites alongside. (Fri-Sat, 17:00-21:00). We’ll post more information soon, in the meantime we’re sad not to host you today, but we hope to see your friendly faces very soon! 🤗

Only 3 days until we reopen and and are hard at work on finalising our new menus and wine pairings. Come and taste our all-new restaurant offering (including a brand new lunch service!) from this Friday (May 22nd)! 💥💫💥💫💥💫💥💫

HOT OFF THE PRESS!

Yes, that’s right. We’ll be reopening on Friday 22nd May with a shiny new restaurant offering tailored the current circumstances, including an all new lunch service! 💥

Both lunch and dinner services will have exciting set menus (and yes, our mighty Lobster Rolls 🦞 are available!) as well as socially distanced seating either inside or on the terrace.

Head over the the Cell website to make a booking (walk ins also welcome although we will need to take personal information in line with government legislation) and we look forward to hosting you soon!

💥 STAY TUNED! We’re hard at work trying to figure out how we can safely reopen according to the new government guidelines and our Executive Chef is working with the team on delicious new dishes to shape our reopening menu. 💥
Once we have all the details we’ll be sharing them here, but until then the Cell Späti remains open Tue-Sat, 12:00-16:00 for all you Lobster Roll, freshly baked sourdough and wine cellar requests! Come say hi ... 👋

In these crazy times, Berlin Food Week came up with the idea to post recipes on billboards all over Berlin as a way to support and advertise restaurants trying to think creativly to get through lockdown.
