The olive groves in the Mousouron Mountains southwest of Chania on the island of Crete are family owned since 1946. The company was founded by Odysseas Mouzourakis. Anastasia Mouzouraki launched her label "Anastasia's Finest" in 2014. Her philosophy is to produce one of the best premium olive oils. Manufacturing criterion is not the maximum output, but a high quality and an exceptional taste. It goes without saying that the olives are harvested manually at the ideal ripening time and are processed daily at sunset directly under the personal supervision of Anastasia or her staff at the local oil mill. In the oil mill, the cold extraction is carried out with the aid of state-of-the-art equipment. The maximum temperature of the olive pulp and the oil-water emulsion of 27 ° C must not be exceeded. The storage then takes place in airtight stainless steel tanks. The olive oil is made from the Koroneiki olive. It is typical of the steep slopes in the Mousouron mountains in western Crete.
