Over the years, the project has become known for its carefully curated lineups, long-form musical journeys and strong sense of community, creating spaces where local and international artists can genuinely connect.   Throughout the years, Discos Movimiento has developed long-standing relationships and collaborations with artists such as Ryan Elliott, Mama Snake, Mad Miran, Victor, Andy Martin, Shed and Verraco, among many others. Beyond simply bringing artists from around the world to Mexico, the project also focuses on building bridges in the opposite direction: creating opportunities for residents and artists from the Mexican scene to perform and connect internationally.  This special night at Blitz marks another collaboration with Cologne-based collective Schleuse Eins, following a previous event together in Cologne, with shared values for community work & carefully curated lineups. What started out with off-location events in Aachen before moving to Cologne with a focus on local talent, its network is growing out, with lineups and events from Wuppertal’s Open Ground to Tbilisi’s Bassiani and an ever-growing cast of international guests.  The lineup reflects the shared musical vision between both collectives: Lara Fein b2b Pancratio, ATEQ, Nico Borgio and Raphael Hansen b2b Matyrer guiding the night through psychedelic textures, hypnotic rhythms and emotionally driven club music.  Alongside the musical program, the evening will also feature Mexican food and drinks in collaboration with Los Güeros Taquería. The idea is to bring a small piece of Mexico City to Munich through a sensory experience that combines visuals, food, drinks and music

Hybrid club music for big soundsystems“ is one of Munich duo Schlachthofbronx‘ claims and it makes them natural guests for our Room for Music listening sessions. Somewhere between footwork, grime, dancehall and miami bass, moving from hip-hop over reggae to more electronic spheres: Their unique approach to all types of club music on the rougher side of the spectrum has taken them from festival stages worldwide to trucks during Notting Hill Carnival and special shows with brass bands in Oktoberfest’s Herzkasperlzelt hideout.  „From relaxed to weird, from oldschool to new — just not necessarily always dance music this time round [...] But hey, might still check some new heat, let’s see... all on the system that fellow sound nerd laurin joel schafhausen installed & tuned. There might be Schaumwein, too.“ So promise Jakob & Bene for their third appearance at Blitz Club.

CoreChaos began in 2020 as a Munich music blog before becoming something more: a DIY collective throwing gigs to fill a void they felt in the city’s cultural life.

Starting with screamo, the programme has sprawled from folk to noise to dance music, sombre and sensual, radical in its expression, raw and refined, to quote the crew. Rooted in the values of DC (Post-)Hardcore, CoreChaos runs a pay-what-you-can ticket system built on solidarity: if you have the means, pay your dues. From the cornerstones of DIY-spaces in Munich like Kafe Marat & Kafe Kult to a wealth of shows Blitz Club’s dancefloor.
Their aim has been to open space for emotion, connection, and the purifying effects of cultural catharsis, whether that’s screaming, dancing, or staring at the ceiling. Now the crew returns to Blitz Club for an in-depth listen of their eclectic yet deep-blue tinted influences.

Pseudo-durational listening with a live set by Rashad Becker, who recently released his album The Incident (2025) on his newly established label Clunk. Previous releases include Traditional Music of Notional Species Vol. I & Vol. II (PAN, 2013/2016). Support by Florian Hecker, who recently released Natural Selection (PAN, 2026), NORMIFICATION (with Marcin Pietruszewski) (Diagonal, 2025), and Resynthese FAVN (Blank Forms Editions, 2024) and a live set by focus baby, a member of the Sound & Experiment programme also known as Kiawash, a driving force behind the Orbital Reflector series & crew.

Donation-based entry! w/ .records   Founded in 2018 by Dycide, MTRL and our resident Polygonia, the Munich-based collective and audiovisual platform has grown from a shared studio practice into one of the city’s most distinctive creative ecosystems: held together not by a fixed sound, but by a genuine curiosity about process, detail and what becomes possible when producers actually work in each other’s company. Their edition of Room for Music turns the spotlight inward. Vanta and Mitra, IO’s most recent additions, each step forward with a live set. An introduction to where the collective is heading next. The evening then opens into a collective b2b session, drawing freely from the full arc of the label’s output: established works, new material, and tracks still finding their shape.

 Behind the decks in early April: the team from Optimal Recordstore, essential part of Munich’s music scene for more than 40 years. For this listening session they’ll dig into their record stock and private collections, bringing along a selection that reflects decades of listening and collecting. Expect an eclectic wide-ranging journey through the crates from ambient to dub, avant-garde to post-jazz, new wave to independent. Hidden gems, personal favourites, and unexpected connections, all played the way they’re meant to be heard: on vinyl. Join them for an evening of deep listening, crate-digger knowledge, and music beyond the algorithm. You don’t need four to the floor to dance.

Their habits of sharing music and collective listening, cultivated within their group of friends, is what they seek to extrapolate and project onto the format of „Room for Listening“ at Blitz. Expect a free rotation across Folk, Jazz, Drone, Experimental Electronics and much more by five music collectors, closely affiliated with the Orbital Reflector events, namely: Sophie Pschorr, tbhase, Sarmabot, Paul Linke and Kiawash.

w/ .rec   Squama is a record label from Munich, releasing multi-layered musical and visual objects. Run by producer Martin Brugger and creative director Maximilian Schachtner the label pursues a non-conformist approach to both musical production and visual communication.  For their edition of Room for Music, Squama are inviting everyone to a Testpressing Thursday. The session’s focus will be on unreleased music from the label, from Ambient Jazz to Shoegaze, giving listeners an exclusive preview of what’s to come in 2026.

Everything but techno or rave dancefloor stuff <  - Dario Zenker  Anyone following Blitz Club will be familiar with our residents, the Zenker Brothers, and their multifaceted imprint Ilian Tape.  Founded in 2007 by Dario and Marco Zenker, the label has evolved from a local endeavour into an internationally acclaimed platform, recognised for its distinctive blend of deep, rhythmic techno and experimental electronics. Over time, its spectrum has expanded: from functional, UK-leaning dancefloor pressure to floating drum & bass excursions, smoky halftime cuts and pensive ambient reveries. In recent years, Ilian Tape has also reimagined the techno album format - even venturing into jazz-inspired territory.  As much as we cherish their dancefloor-focused sets, we’re especially pleased to have the brothers open our listening series Room for Music with a selection of > hip-hop, jazz, dub. everything but techno or rave dancefloor stuff < as Dario Zenker puts it.
