Muddy Water is a seasonal espresso blend, of the finest
sourced green beans that we could get our hands on. This
very mild creamy espresso is suitable for milk drink's, with
a smooth and rich mouth feel.

The northern part of Peru has a warm climate and fertile land thanks to the Andes mountain range and its proximity to the equator. Cutervo Province is known for its beautiful cloud forests, bogs and dry forests, protected by the Cutervo National Park. The Lot Puente Solaya comes from the district of Callayuc in the province of Cutervo. Since the cultivation of coffee in this region is quite new, the colleagues from Cultivar, who exported this coffee, went on a motorcycle search and at the end of their trip they had coffee from two communities with them. Both are separated from each other by a hill ("solaya") and puente is the symbolic bridge between them.

This coffee comes from a small mill in the Pegasing district of Takengon, in Sumatra's famous coffee region, Aceh. The mill processes the cherries from several small coffee producers in the villages of Pantan Musara.
Forced from their homes and land by a natural disaster a few years ago, they have rebuilt their lives and farms with a focus on coffee. What is special about the region is that naturals are also produced here.

Ajere Washing Station was founded in 1998 by Amare Tesema. Today, between 800 and 850 smallholder farmers deliver their cherries to Ajere WS, which has a size of 1,9 ha. The washing station is located in Gedeo Zone which has borders with the zones of Guji to the east, Borena to the south and west, and Sidama to the north. It supports the local community school e.g., with the construction of new classrooms.

We are super stoked to release our first single origin coffee LaSecreta from Columbia tomorrow!

Finca La Secreta was acquired by Cafelumbus in 2019, to be a part of the portfolio. Juan Carlos Mejia is the manager of this farm, he lives there with his family and is looking after the 130.000 coffee trees planted there. The farm is 30 hectares wide, from which 25 ha are planted in coffee and the other 5 ha are natural reserve. The natural reserve of this land is beautiful and is the home of various animals and vegetal species. There is nature for protection of water, which is also a supplier of water resources for the “Vereda Ventorrillo”, the zone where the farm is located, this is what makes this farm so unique, rich and bountiful in nature, this makes it somewhat mystic and secretful, that is why cafelumbus called it: La Secreta.
