👤 About the ArtistEehou creates warm, melodic beats shaped by a curiosity that never really stops. Growing up in Kyrgyzstan, he fell in love with making music early on and still keeps exploring by learning new instruments and bringing fresh ideas into every track. Since his first Oiyo
releases in 2023, he’s become a familiar part of our journey with his thoughtful and unmistakable sound.

“5 Years Oiyo Records” marks a milestone for our label and community. What began in Frankfurt as a small group of producers has grown into a global home for lofi and instrumental hip hop. This compilation celebrates that journey, bringing together artists who have defined and carried the Oiyo sound over the past years.

Originally imagined as the soundtrack to a noir detective film, „Rise“ blends vibraphone, piano, guitar and driving drums into a groove that feels cinematic without losing its laid-back character.

„Rise“ brings together South Korean guitarist and producer JazzyHan with London-based collective Frances The Mute. While JazzyHan draws from jazz-inspired instrumental music, Frances The Mute has built a diverse catalog spanning multiple genres, with BBC features and several No. 1 Amazon Hip Hop releases.

Inspired by the idea of sharing an umbrella with someone you like, „Umbrella“ pairs delicate piano melodies with warm production and subtle textures. Together, eldlofi and mel capture the quiet excitement of a rainy walk home.

For „Umbrella“, jazz pianist mel and producer eldlofi brought their different backgrounds together. Mel wrote the piano melodies, while eldlofi handled the production, effects, mixing and mastering.

👤 About the Artist
Zesik is a producer from Athens, Greece, creating dusty boom bap and lo-fi beats built around warm samples and head-nodding grooves. Since 2012, he’s been refining a sound of his own, bringing together influences from different styles of music without losing his roots in hip hop. Since his first Oiyo releases in 2025, his music has been a natural fit for the label’s sound.

Named after the ambivalent plant, „datura“ pairs a dusty loop with hard-hitting lo-fi drums and a raw, stripped-back approach. Inspired by the work of Wun Two, the track focuses on groove, simplicity and an atmosphere that feels both mellow and slightly uncanny.

French producer Fleaureque is drawn to imperfect loops and the aesthetics of classic beat tapes, while Mexican-French producer wugo takes inspiration from golden-era boom bap and soulful sample-based production. Together, they bring two complementary approaches to classic lo-fi hip hop.

Yampb is a producer and sound engineer from Belarus working at the intersection of lo-fi, boom bap and jazz-influenced hip-hop. With a background in audio engineering, he puts a strong emphasis on sound design, bringing a refined approach to every release.
